Great location and reception staff were very helpful. Excellent customer service. Wi-fi was terrible in our unit. We ended up using our own data.

Usefulness TripAdvisor review

Family of 4 stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with large courtyard/balcony that had a bbq and jacuzzi (not hot) overlooking the ocean. The apartment was modern and spacious with a Hamptons/beach theme. Lots of amenities included. Hand wash, shampoo, lotion etc was provided and toilet paper/tissues to start you off. Wi-fi wasn’t very good, so recommend that you bring your own. Lots of dinner options on the street from level 1 and a variety of shops. It was difficult to find a decent coffee and the food prices are much higher than most places. There is a Coles close by where you can grab all your supplies. We have been staying in Mooloolaba for years now and this apartment is definitely one of our favourites.

We stay at Zanzibar every year at the same time. We always have a wonderful time. We were slightly disappointed this year with the cleanliness of our apartment. When we arrived, the floors appeared to have not been vacuumed. There were large toes nail clippings in the lounge room area next to the couch, there was hair and crumbs down the hallway and crumbs of something like a croissant in the second bedroom next to the bed and ants all through our bin area in the kitchen. We did ask for the cleaners to come back and complete another vacuum and clean of the kitchen which they did happily however we were not present when they did the second clean, the cleaners did not complete a whole apartment vacuum. We ended up doing this ourselves (at the start of our holidays). Please please fix the internet issues or lack of internet issue, we asked before we arrived if the internet would be at full capacity and where assured that if we logged in through our Accor login it would be perfect... it was not. We ended up having to hot spot all week to our laptops. We own our own business and yes, we are on holidays, but we also need to be able to complete work while on holidays due to owning our own business.

Please accept our apologies for the condition of the floors, bedrooms, and kitchen area, as well as for the inconvenience of having to complete additional cleaning yourselves at the start of your holiday. This is certainly not the experience we aim to provide, and your comments have been escalated to our housekeeping management team for immediate review and corrective action. We also regret that the follow-up clean did not fully resolve the issue. We will be reinforcing our procedures to ensure that when a re-clean is requested, it is carried out thoroughly and to completion. In regard to the internet connectivity, we understand how frustrating this must have been, particularly given that you sought reassurance prior to arrival and rely on reliable internet to support your business while travelling. We apologise that the service did not perform as expected and for the inconvenience of having to rely on mobile hotspotting throughout your stay. Several issues with the apartment, dirty floors which I had to clean myself, glass coffee table which feel on my daughters foot, medication left in bedside drawers from previous tennant, dirty condom on the floor near bed, dirty washing under the bed. a bathroom that could not be used as I had asked for them to ensure walk in showers we all had to try and use one shower. Only given one towel each for 10 days. The dryer in the laundry very ineffective at drying the towels when washed. No power points in the bedrooms. Power points in the kitchen we had to use a woodeen spoon to reach them to turn appliances on and off. I had stayed in Sirocco previously and they were great. Whilst the Sirrocco apartment was old it presented fresh and clean. I was advised the apartment would be cleaned but this never happened.

I expected much hire standard from an accor facility. Very Disappointed. Furniture fell that should have been secured to the wall (very lucky it was not a serious injury to one of our children). Wifi not working.
