We had five wonderful days at mantra mooloolaba. Everything from the room (incredibly large with Ensuites, spa, full kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, large balcony, huge windows, king bed), to the cleaning staff who could not have been more helpful and kind. Thought we had an issue locking our balcony door…Murray the maintenance man kindly informed us there was nothing wrong, left us as lovely note with a hammer shaped biscuit…we just hadn’t closed it correctly. This was an example of all staff we encountered. The receptionists were exceptional as well…Jasmine, Amanda, and others who I am so sorry I can’t remember their names…were just lovely and could not have been more helpful. Car parking was elite as well. Thanx to all at the mantra for an awesome time.

We recently stayed at The Mantra, unfortunately it was only for one night as we didn’t want to leave. Staff were friendly, the room was clean and the location was great with a breathtaking view out over the ocean.

Unfortunately the room was very dated and not a pleasant space to be in at all. In fact we avoided going back to the apartment as much as possible. The windowless bedroom was dark and depressing made worse by the bright white lighting. The unit itself (512) was situated near the large commercial ac units of the shopping centre below and their bin area. This meant the balcony was pretty much unusable because of the noise / wind generated by the ac units and the noise from the bins regularly being emptied. We tried eating down at the table near the bbqs which was pleasant until the extraction from the shopping centre turned on and again it was too noisy to enjoy the space. We really like Mooloolaba (it was our first visit) but unfortunately the accommodation tarnished our experience of the place. We moved on to Mantra Coolangatta and the rate we are paying is about the same but there is no comparison in the quality of the unit - the Coolangatta apartment is 1000 times better and exactly what we would expect from an Accor / Mantra property. As a silver (formerly gold) Accor member I don’t understand how we ended up in such an awful room - unless of course they are all like that.
