The room is a small pod which I hadn't realised when booking. I strongly object to my credit card being 'held', as an extensive traveller I have not experienced this in any other Country and it will stop me visiting New Zealand in the future...target people that don't pay rather than the majority that don't! This will have a detrimental effect on your tourism....

Excellent location, but a very disappointing room The hotel has an excellent location right in the centre of the city, but unfortunately, the room was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. We spent two unpleasant nights in a tiny 9–10 m² room. The toilet and shower were in one corner of the room, while the double bed was directly on the opposite side. The bed was unusually high and could only be accessed from one side. You can imagine how difficult and uncomfortable this was for two older people to get in and out of bed. There was only one window, and the glass was broken. The room had a very small table with a small, old metal chair that looked more suitable for a kindergarten than a hotel room. There was no wardrobe or proper place to put our clothes or shoes, and there were no chairs to sit on. The bed was too high to sit on comfortably. There were only two clothes hangers, hanging on the wall above the table. The additional costs were also quite high: $50 for two days of parking and $28 per person for an average buffet breakfast. We paid $245 for two nights, which initially seemed like a very good deal. However, after experiencing the room, we feel it was not worth even that amount. Unfortunately, despite the excellent location, I would definitely not stay at this hotel again and cannot recommend it.

I stayed for two nights as part of a business trip. Well located establishment close to several shops, restaurants and parks. In spite of this central location, I faced no sleep or work disruption. The interior room I booked was small and had no window (all of this was disclosed before the booking and I personally did not mind) but was very clean and well equipped with a private bathroom and small workspace. I enjoyed the food at the restaurant and must highlight very pleasant experience with the stellar staff working at this hotel. If I have to provide some points of criticism, the elevator scanner was a bit fiddly and required multiple attempts to register the swipe card. This was not the case for the room itself, which worked perfectly. I also noticed that the credit card 2% surcharge was applied on my meals at the restaurant even though I paid with EFTPOS. Finally, the open WiFi was a bit slow, but there was an option to join the premium network which I did not investigate. Overall I am very happy with my stay.
