I have stayed at Mantra South Brisbane a number of times and always enjoyed it. I will never return. My room was layered with thick dust I asked twice for the room to be cleaned and dust removed it still was dusty triggering my asthma. The corridor from the lift to my room was full of leaves for 2 days and the carpet was badly stained - it looked like someone vomited on the carpet. Due to my frequent stays I was expecting a half decent room however was given a room facing a brick wall. Reception was unresponsive to my concerns

We are genuinely sorry to read about the condition of your room and the common areas, particularly given the impact this had on your asthma. This is very concerning and certainly not the level of cleanliness or care we strive to provide. We also apologise that your requests for cleaning were not adequately addressed and that you felt your concerns were not responded to by reception. We understand how disappointing it must have been to be allocated a room facing a brick wall, especially as a returning guest who expected a higher standard. Your feedback regarding housekeeping, corridor cleanliness, and service responsiveness has been escalated to management for urgent review. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. Close to restaurants, QPAC theatres, CBD and able to walk through the southbank parkland.

Well located. Wonderful staff, but incredibly tired and needing an upgrade - carpet was lifting in our room. Bathroom was in desperate need of upgrade - shower screens had scum on them. Room smelled (wet). Could hear absolutely everything outside - very noisy. Dissappointed as we didn't feel it was good value for money

Great room. On arrival bathroom bin not emptied full of tissues and strong smell eucalyptus. On phoning front desk issue promptly attended.
