Very dissapointed There was a bad smell in the toilet The staff didn’t care Room are ok .. but not modern Bed sheets are old

My Experience was somewhat up and down on this occasion. On Arrival all was well, but I do not understand why you need to all of the money out of our cards on arrival, rather than on departure, especially when we have to pay for room services and bar/food bills. The majority of non Euro users, card providers charge per transaction. Security, the gates and car parking provide very good security, what is lacking is lighting at the road /entrance to the hotel, on departure on foot, it was very dark, and with the odd hooded person lingering, one does not feel very safe. Beware bar transactions, on Day one I went to pay my bill, someone had paid it, I tracked them down and they were totally unaware, I settled with them. However 2 days later I was shown a €15 till receipt, but when I got home and checked my Master card bill I had been charged £60.31 (€68.75)! Not happy, but with no evidence (the barman screwed up the till receipt and threw it in the bin) I am unable to get a refund. Breakfast was good so long as you got down early, trays were not cleaned away and replaced quick enough, leaving many guests either clearing themselves to find somewhere to sit or waiting around for the staff to arrive. Reception staff were very welcoming and friendly, rooms very clean, rooms were very well appointed, Samsung TVs allowing smart cast to view content on phones. The only issue was there was no English speaking channels active, all showed red. Quite poor with international guests from USA, Canada UK and wider all speaking English. Would I return, Yes most definitely, I would just take more care at the Bar.
