Grand Mercure SP Itaim Bibi 5 estrelas

This was a good hotel and we enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the reception staff spoke excellent English. The rooms are what you would expect at a Mecure hotel, good size and comfy bed. The breakfast was a buffet with lots of selection, they will make eggs to order i.e omelette but the staff didn't ask us so if you aren't aware this is an option you would miss out on this.

Great hotel and location. Rooms could be a bit less clinical and the building site next door was a bit annoying but the staff make up for the minor inconveniences. Andre the concierge was particularly helpful and made us feel incredibly welcome

Newly renovated with very nice staff (kudos to Dorival!), the hotel is well located, has a decent fitness room and close to Ibirapuera Park. Breakfast with a lot of good options and friendly service. For business travelers it is well located in Itaim Bibi district and close to Congonhas airport.

The hotel is clean and in a very good area. The front desk staff is excellent; very friendly, some spoke pretty good English, and were very accommodating. My room was large, clean and had a large balcony. The bed was comfortable and had a note on the bed stand that if you wanted a different pillow other than what was on the bed, they’d provide it. Bathrobes were in the closet for use, along with a coffee machine and safe. My room had a large balcony. (I believe that all or most offer balconies). There is a rooftop pool and a fairly large fitness center. My room included a Buffett breakfast, which was excellent and offered several fresh fruits, scrambled eggs, a coffee machine, a variety of breads and pastries and freshly made egg omelets. The waiters were attentive and very friendly. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.

Full disclose: got an upgrade at check-in; paid in total around $600 for 4 nights in the basic category w/ breakfast Good: - staff is friendly and welcoming, really great - room size is large (not sure about the category of the new room) - breakfast was excellent with lots of variety to choose from Bad: - there is a large construction site next to the hotel which is operated AT NIGHT. Hence one does not get the full experience during day-time check-in but only after 11pm for example. - walls are very thin, went twice to my bathroom because I thought a pipe had burst. Neighbors were showering... Neutral: - pool closed for maintenance half of my stay Overall, I gave 3 instead of 2 stars because I did not complain to the reception which was a mistake in hindsight. Would recommend this hotel with 4 stars in a couple of months, now depending on how one sleeps rather 2 because value for money is lacking with the construction site.
