We stayed for 6 nights ahead of the Easter long weekend. During which we had housekeeping refresh the rooms daily but failed to check shower gel bottle in the bathroom. For a long stay over 2 nights I would have thought that this is a standard procedure. Our shower gel ran out midshower on day 4 and upon calling front desk we were told it will be on its way up shortly. My wife had to wait cold in the shower for 30 mins before I rang them again (this time I told her that I am gonna go downstairs and get it myself) and found out that both reception and concierge were chatting at front desk. The duty manager at that time explained that there was a security issue that they had to deal with first. Concierge told me that it was his first time hearing the request (after my first call 30 mins ago) so he helped me to get the soap from the stockroom so I can run back quickly to the room. Certainly there is a breakdown of comm there at front office? Front desk staff is missing simple courtesy of calling us back in the room and informing that it will take over 5 mins because they cant attend to the request straight away. DM apologised afterward and said “will bring up with housekeeping dept in morning meeting”. Felt it was too easy to shift blame to HK dept as it has already happened and didnt click to him that there is a breakdown of comm between his staffs that night. Another incident at the laundry room where the front desk staff issue $15 worth of coins in $1 and $2. I asked him if the machine accepts $2, he said yes. I went back down after the machine didnt give a return and I am running out of $1 to turn on the dryer. Had to explain to him that I need an extra $1 since the machine took all the $2. He seems confused and this couldve been averted with training. Get all f/o staffs up to L2 and put a sign up of only $1 is accepted. Our family have been let down hard by the standard of Pullman ADL.

We returned for AFL gathering round as fans. We had the best time. Christopher who greeted us at the door made our experience even better. He is a very nice and lovely human he deserves a pay rise! He was so great with our children we will return just to see him.
