Highlights: Unlike many All inclusive hotels in the region, Rixos is using branded drinks/snacks and this is really great. We particularly liked Magnums/Cornettos at beach bars. The same is true for the music at the pool, they are songs people know by the real artist rather than awful covers to keep licensing costs down. Daily room cleaning was thorough, a tiny bit more effort could be placed on restocking minibars but it was mostly good. The upgrade to the suite was very well received. It was an exceptional room and showed great commitment to ALL members. Heated pool is a great idea for the cooler months. Welcome gift and birthday gift for me were really appreciated also. Honourable mentions: bartender called Dogan (I'm sure I've spelled that wrong) was always working flat out for people and was incredibly approachable, more so than some other bartenders. Nidal for all the help over email. Niggly points: Reception insisted on sending our suitcases separately and then they didn't show up at the room for an hour and I had to call to request them. Whenever we rang guest services/reception, it took many attempts for people to answer. This was really frustrating, I had to go to reception a couple of times and they kept asking me to use the Lumin AI more but the AI always transferred me to a human anyway. When we went on the last day to request late checkout (which is a strange policy in itself, normally I can request at the point my stay has commenced) the staff on the desk weren't keen to give me 2 free hours - I had to flash an email from Nidal. The keys they gave us then didn't work and I returned and the guy on the desk was quite shirty and said I should use the AI tool (which I don't think can program room keys?). The a la carte system failed for us as we'd paid for the Mermaid restaurant and been to 1 free restaurant and the system was saying we'd used both free meals (but one was paid for). Guest services eventually remediated this but I feel that may have been down to my status/fact it was my birthday. The app said some places where closed when they weren't (i.e. food court). Sometimes in the meal areas waiters took too long to take drink orders. In the a la carte restaurants the service was excellent but in the bars/buffets, often you had to collar a waiter rather than them proactively see you needed a drink. This is quite a basic thing staff could do better. Also there are some older guys in jackets at the buffets that I assume are team leaders, but they did very little. I'd say have fewer team leaders and more waiting staff so everyone has always got a drink. One of the best days we had was sitting in our suite looking at the pool having some drinks. The issue was we had to keep going and getting drinks from bars quite a way away. There were some room service wine bottles available, all quite pricey for an all inclusive. So my thought is could you not sell the all inclusive wine that's usually free but with a de minimis delivery fee of say €5? We would have loved to order just some bottles of the free wine and would have paid for the delivery. However the cheapest room service wines were about 30€ and when you can have wine and cocktails free at the bars, you don't want to pay this much - I realise the wines were more premium, which is why I'm saying offer the cheaper one too. I think it would make money.

From the moment we checked in, the staff demonstrated a complete lack of basic customer service. There were no greetings, no assistance, and no sense of hospitality whatsoever. Upon arrival, we discovered that we had been allocated an incorrect room. When we requested an upgrade, we were simply told that the hotel was fully booked. However, when we checked the hotel’s official website, multiple higher-category rooms were clearly available for booking. Despite this, no effort was made to accommodate us or offer a solution. Furthermore, the room category we originally booked was located in a building that was completely closed due to the so-called “off-peak season.” This means the hotel sold a room type that was not even operational at the time of our stay. As a result, our booked room did not exist, and yet no alternative or upgrade was offered. Overall, this experience reflects poor management, misleading booking practices, and an urgent need for improvement in customer service standards.

Satisfied with premium Rixos quality but dissatisfied with not being able to visit Land of Legends. Shuttle days were limited by hotel to two days only and those days did not suit us. Our plan was to visit Land of Legends on our last day which was Wednesday and there was no shuttle that day.

Good facilities - when open. Kids loved the pools, water slides and sports facilities. However we were disappointed that opening hours of various things reduced over the second half of our stay. Pool Villa was really nice and general appearance of the hotel is great. Food was ok but didn't seem to match what was promised. It was hard to book the a la carte restaurants - many were fully booked 3 mins after bookings opened. Also the number of restaurants available kept reducing through the week (without the hotel making this clear). The buffet was ok, although food allergen labelling was inconsistent e.g. the same dish contained dairy one day and not the next. Not great when you are relying on them. Service was good to start but really tailed off during the week. Our whatsapp concierge's last message was they were going on a break for a few hours but after that we didn't hear from them again for last 2 days of the holiday. As a result we weren't told various facilities were shutting early/entirely. e.g. food court shut a day before we left, waterslides shut abruptly on our final day at 1pm with no notice. Overall hotel was ok. Hard to know whether our experience was standard for end of summer season in Oct/Nov, we were just unlucky, or the hotel made some late decisions based on low occupancy. On balance wouldn't go back.
