Disappointed that we were charged for breakfast. Twice we enquired and we were told breakfast was included and nothing to pay. In all our travels to New Zealand, Western Australia, Northern Territory this is the only Resort where we have had to pay for breakfast.

Great location, spacious clean rooms, comfy bed, great facilities. Loved the pool though it was a bit run down, could probably do with throwing the pool vac in overnight and clean the glass fence. The staff were a standout, very friendly and helpful (Sarah the Italian girl, and the Fijian lady on the front counter). Overall a really pleasant stay.

Upon arrival, 2 adults and 1 child, they gave us a 1 bed room, we had to go back to reception to get a room with an extra bed. Ok, we got it. But 2 towels for 3 people doesn’t pull it. I asked for an extra towel when the cleaners came, got 2 towels for 3 people! Now to the coffee! If you like decaf, you’re in luck, however, we don’t, asked for more, just another 4 tiny packs. Asked for more at reception, got 2 more, I did feel spoiled! 🤦🏻‍♀️ For a Mercure it was quite poor. Rooms need updating, the mould in the bathroom needs removing and be very careful in the shower, the floor is very slippery and is a hazard

I would recommend the Mecure as a place to stay for comfort, cleanliness and security. As an ACCOR member, the standard of guest services was poor in comparison to other ACCOR hotels. On check in there is no explanation about basic services, car parking, exiting carpark, gym, wifi etc. This to me was basic check in information missing along with the friendly warm welcome. The meals at the Restaurant are not good value for money given the price. I would recommend eating elsewhere for value for money. The cleaners at the motel are definitely the most friendly and hardworking.

Where to start….. This is the worst Mercure I’ve ever stayed in. And I’ve stayed in a lot! From the first moment you step into the premises you are greeted by a single unfriendly and unwelcoming receptionist. The car park is atrocious, the fixtures and fittings are run down and the grass is overgrown. Rubbish all around the motel. Then in the room it was a poorly maintained bathroom, Nescafé Blend 43 (in 2026 are you serious!), and bad lighting. Finally the restaurant was overpriced and had poor service. Not recommended on any level.

The original room disgusting, smelt, spit and marks on walls, mouldy dripping shower, curtain and DND sign had vomit on them. Poor standards considering price. Definitely not ok travelling with a 3mo baby. Staff changed rooms only after I complained and showed photos.

The room itself was great, spacious, ginormous bed, a couple of comfy arm chairs with big windows to let in lots of natural light. There was also a nice large desk to work on my laptop at, except that in this lovely room, there was a pitiful excuse for wifi. To do any work, i needed to go down to the main resort building into the bar area to get any decent wifi connection. Now when i wanted to have some down time, the pool was inviting, except i was there just under a week, and in that time there was no attempt to clean out any of the leaf litter from the bottom of the pool. Yes, there were some major storms that hit, but the first storm hit on the Thursday, the next didn't strike until Monday. There was no attempt to tidy either the pool or the paths of any debris to make moving suitcases across the paths easier

I was shocked when I tasted the Pinot Noir I had asked for. It was undrinkable. I asked about the vintage and was told it was a 2025. Shame. It had moderate fruit, high tannins as expected of a year old wine and unpleasant notes from young oak barrels. Shame on you for serving a wine years before it should be.
