Beyond the amazing food, super comfortable rooms, and historic art deco surroundings, the most memorable part of my experience at Raffles was the people who worked there. They are all wonderful people who work very hard to provide the best possible experience for guests. There was Nisha, the gin butler who led a memorable gin tasting experience, and Pirong, a chef who always served me food with a genuine smile. Also memorable was Srey, the ornately dressed doorman who gamely accomodated my many requests, and Raul, the lovely pianist who coaxed me into singing Sinatra every night at the bar. I enjoyed every minute of my experience at the Grand Hotel d'Angkor and would stay again in a heartbeat!

While our Art Deco walls hold much history, it is guests like you who truly bring them to life. This was a 45th wedding anniversary stay. Hotel beautiful as expected. Hotel went above expectations with a beautiful bouquet of lotuses and cake after our celebration dinner. Dinner excellent. Staff exceptional - of particular note are Sigh Ya in the Elephant Bar and Nisah the Gin Butler; we experience their exceptional service on every visit - they are a true credit to the hotel. Couple of snag list items (we are not complaining, we know that if no-one informs you then you don't know :-)). One phone in our suite not working and the light on the vanity mirror in the bathroom not working. Of special note - we always love the pianist, his playing an manner are wonderful, he is a great old-school character that we love chatting to. He is very much part of the unique atmosphere that cannot be faked. Wonder stay. Thank you all, particularly the pianist, Sigh Ya and Nisah 🙏
