Great location lovely balcony room with good views. Bathroom facilities small and disappointing. Staff all very helpful and engaging Room service overpriced , soup with bread $35 bottle of water $9 . In room coffee / tea supplies minimal and had to ask to be refreshed . Cleanliness and housekeeping very good

We had a beautiful stay at the Fairmont Hotel. The staff were top notch. They really made our stay the best. Our maid service was amazing, the front desk helped us upgrade our room to one with beautiful view for first timers to San Francisco and the bell hop kept our luggage safe. The court yard was beautiful and fun to people watch on.

Last time we were there in 2022 we had a bad experience. But we got in touch with management prior to this visit and they made sure we had a great experience. My Step Daughter got married at City Hall so we booked her a corner suite and we also had 3 other rooms for ourselves and family. They helped us arrange fruit, chocolates and flowers for the suite for both nights. The concierge even helped us when we realized the car needed to say “just married.” They actually went to get the paint for us in a hurry before the bride and groom checked out. After everyone else left, we decided to stay an extra night to relax. Room service comp’d our breakfast and gave us some pastries because they wanted to show appreciation. They thought my Stepdaughter was still there and apparently she’d been very nice to them when she ordered room service for herself. So clearly the customer service is back up to Fairmont standards and we will be back soon, probably for tea during Christmas time Also when we checked in, Cameron was ready for us and made sure our check in went smoothly. He also got us into our rooms early. This was great because we were traveling with an infant and had a lot to set up I also recommend the car service they helped us book, Alpha Executive. We arranged for luxury SUVs to drive the bride and some of her family. We also arranged airport rides for my stepson

The staff was amazing! The Tonga was such a vibe and the drinks were awesome! The suite we had was nothing short but the best! We had a great view of the city and it was just breathtaking! Thank you for an amazing experience!

Everyone knows the Fairmont and it is the ultimate destination hotel in San Francisco. A whole chain has been named after it… and I’ve stayed in quite a few of their hotels. However, though I’ve been in and around the flagship for decades, I never stayed here. I just figured it was so big and popular I might have a better time somewhere else that’s smaller and lower-key. And while I’ve enjoyed the other hotels in town I’ve been to, it turns out the Fairmont deserves its reputation as the ultimate, classic hotel on top of Nob Hill. It has the best location in a city that is so beautiful but which has so many issues in some neighborhoods currently (not this one, fortunately), you kind of have to re-think where you want to spend your time. (I’m thinking of Union Square in particular). I definitely felt safe up here and it was a nice feeling. Check-in was easy and quick (amazing considering there are over 600 rooms). Cameron at the front desk was just the best… charming, friendly, efficient, welcoming, with a lot of great tips and insights about the hotel. I came here for the vistas and we got them. We stayed in a suite with incredible ones. The room was in excellent shape and nicely decorated. And did I mention the views? Okay. I did. They are really stunning. (You might get a little fog... we did... it was atmospheric but ultimately, I prefer a clear day). If it’s in your budget, definitely spring for a Bay View in the Tower. You will be wowed. I also want to thank Lucas, whom I spoke to a few days before check-in to request a high floor. We got one and we appreciated it. Very much. Dinner was via room service, which was incredibly fast, friendly and pretty tasty. Best hotel pepperoni pizza I’ve ever had, in fact. Breakfast was very good as well. Check-out was easy, too. Cameron was there so we got to thank him in person for being a great ambassador for the hotel from start to finish. All in all, we had the best time here and I look forward to coming back and spending more time roaming the public spaces. This place has amazing history and you can feel it… there’s a book in the room which explains it all… fascinating stuff. And so many performers and dignitaries have come through here, it’s remarkable… it’s still where presidents stay when in town. There aren’t too many historic, classic hotels in such beautiful locations operating at this level anymore… in fact, I can’t actually think of one this big and well-run at a relatively affordable price point. It was worth the wait and I will definitely be returning soon.
