Relaxing Enjoyable Girls Getaway

I know the property well. It was relaxing. We took long walks, used the pool twice a day, sat by the fire place for drinks and a bite to eat. We used the spa services, had breakfast and took advantage of everything except the experiences. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. At Christmas magical with the decorations and trees The hotel is beautiful the rooms were comfortable. I slept like a log for two nights. The spa is fantastic At check in however I was given the incorrect room of two rooms I had booked, as the person checking us in did not pay attention to the details . Our French onion soup at the bar was cold however the waiter brought it back to warm it. At breakfast some cutlery not cleaned however the waiter brought us cleaned replacement. A great break after a few days in Montreal or between Montreal and Ottawa to stay and enjoy a property with everything needed for every type of traveller at every season. We did not want to drive from Montreal and we ended up driving as there is no train, bus service any longer. Limo service was the only other option... Highly recommended

Your questionaire did not ask about dinner experience. To say the least it was disappointing. It was a 50th anniversary dinner. Been at Montebello before never ate supper there. Wife had a chicken dish fancy looking ordered mashed potatoes which ended up being pureed potatoes you could eat with a straw and cold. Took 10 minutes or more to get attention of waitress to do something which took another 5 minutes to get replaced, meanwhile chicken dish now cold. I had steak with these pureed potatoes also cold. Onion soup was dish with a huge glob of mozzerela cheese almost impossible to cut through and eat to get to broth. For the exorbitant price of menu items it was a disappointing anniversary dinner. In the 50 years we have went from time to time we never ate dinner there and have to say will not eat there again. It is too bad. Very disappointing.

The atmosphere was great. Enjoyed the central fireplace which was quiet and friendly. Enjoyed the Christmas decorations. The staff was great, particularly at the main desk. Really enjoyed our dining experience.
