My ground floor room had ants. I raised this issue with hotel staff and all they did was come and spray parts of the room. I had killed 15 ants and had them on a Kleenex to show the staff, but they did not take my claims seriously and did not offer to move me to a different room. I ended up having to stay in this room and woke up with several ants floating in my water on my nightstand. Was disgusted.

I attended CCLa conference and my family came along. The construction started at 6:45am on Friday May 8th, after complaining I was told that the workers were not supposed to start before 9am (but they did, waking up my 4 yr old toddler). therefore, I asked to change my room from 5th floor next to elevator, i was given 111, smaller room and unpleasant view but at least it was quiet. The hotel offered my husband and daughter complimentary dinner on Friday night which was generous. however, changing room in the middle of conference was hectic so it was waking a 4 yr old at 6:45am due to the noise.

The hotel is in a lovely location and the service is exceptional. the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food at the conference was very good and I appreciated the variety of gluten free options.

My firm booked the room and provided credit card information for payment. When I arrive front desk staff indicates that I must pay myself on-site, that they cannot use the firm credit card. This was not case last year nor the year prior, nor in the 23 years prior when I attended the same conference at Fairmont Montebello. In the end the staff member indicated they would use the firm credit card for payment. Then the next day I receive a text saying that this is not policy and that they charged, without my authorization, a $750 room payment transaction to my personal credit card. The (apparently new policy) that a credit card that is on-site must be used for payment is not reasonable. Charging an amount to my personal credit card without my authorization is completely unacceptable, if not unlawful.
