An Exceptional Fairmont Gold Experience — Truly World Class

TripAdvisor rating 5.0/5

Matthew S TripAdvisor review

Our stay on the Fairmont Tremblant Gold floor was nothing short of outstanding and easily ranks among the best luxury hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Fairmont Gold at Tremblant operates on a completely elevated level of service, comfort, and attention to detail. The Gold Floor Experience The Gold floor itself feels like a private hotel within the hotel. The dedicated Gold reception desk immediately sets the tone — calm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Check-in was seamless, efficient, and warm, with staff taking the time to explain amenities rather than rushing through formalities. The Gold Lounge is an absolute highlight. It is beautifully appointed with cozy seating, mountain-inspired décor, and panoramic views that make it a destination in itself. The daily culinary offerings were consistently excellent: • A generous and well-curated breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries, hot items, and quality coffee • Thoughtful afternoon snacks perfect after a day on the mountain • A refined evening canapé service that felt closer to a boutique cocktail reception than a hotel perk Everything was impeccably maintained, replenished promptly, and presented with care. The Room Our Gold room was immaculate, quiet, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was exceptionally plush, with premium linens that made sleep effortless after full days in Tremblant. Housekeeping was flawless — discreet, timely, and meticulous. Every detail, from the turndown service to the amenities, reflected true luxury hospitality. Location & Ski Convenience The ski-in/ski-out access is unbeatable. Being able to move effortlessly between the slopes and the hotel, especially with the added comfort of the Gold floor, made the entire trip feel seamless and stress-free. The Fairmont Tremblant is perfectly positioned at the heart of the village while still maintaining a sense of tranquility and exclusivity. Outstanding Leadership & Service – Mickael Ferreira What truly elevated this stay from excellent to unforgettable was the leadership and service provided by Mickael Ferreira, Fairmont Gold Director. His presence is felt throughout the Gold experience. Mickael exemplifies what luxury hospitality should be — attentive without being intrusive, professional yet genuinely warm. He took the time to personally ensure our stay was perfect, anticipating needs before they were even expressed. His attention to detail, commitment to guest satisfaction, and pride in his team are immediately apparent. Under his leadership, the Fairmont Gold team operates with remarkable consistency, grace, and excellence. It is clear that Mickael sets a very high standard, and the entire Gold floor reflects that vision. Final Thoughts Fairmont Tremblant Gold is not just an upgrade — it is a destination experience in itself. Between the exceptional lounge, the flawless service, the comfort of the rooms, and the outstanding leadership of Mickael Ferreira, this stay exceeded every expectation. We would not hesitate to return, and we would specifically choose the Gold floor again. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a truly refined, personalized, and memorable stay in Tremblant.

Another wonderful experience with the Fairmont, Tremblant Hotel. We come because it’s beautiful. The service is top notch from the parking valet to the check-in. Our stay was on the Fairmont gold level. Can’t say enough about the concierge team. Our dietary preferences is vegetarian vegan, the food was amazing. Lots of selection, freshly prepared quality ingredients delicious! We love the spa, the outdoor hot pool, the sauna and the steam room. Very relaxing after a great day on the slopes. The axe bar and Grill make wonderful cocktails and we always enjoy a meal there as well. The staff is well trained, courteous, friendly, and professional. This isn’t necessarily the case at hotels that are twice the price worldwide. We will always come back here, knowing that they are consistent in providing a great experience. Seeing the deer eating the Evergreen about 10 foot away when you’re in the hot tub is pretty spectacular.

My room and my daughter’s room were cold. We could not adjust the thermostat. In each case someone came to adjust it. I woke in the night with the thermostat back down again. No way I was calling service then. Disappointing. In the morning I fiddled with it, turned the fan on high and turned up the temperature, and that provided some more heat. But it dropped again. I booked this hotel because I wanted the convenience of ski-in, ski-out, but it was more schlepp-in, schlepp-out. I understand the ski resort activities, outdoor event set-up and takedown, are beyond your control, but the disruption could have been handled and not ignored. The walk down the ‘slope’ from the terrasse level was great, however one day we were told we couldn’t access the slope and had to walk up the stairs. Oh my goodness! I had to walk up in ski boots, carrying poles and skis in left hand while holding on to the railing for safety’s sake. Once at the top there were more stairs that were not completely salted and cleared. Treacherous. It would have been great if there had been Fairmont staff stationed there, or Fairmont signage stating how we could get assistance, or forewarning us so we could figure out how best to get back. Some thought put into the blocked access scenario. I am 68 and, although I am in good shape, I have no desire to slip and fall to find out what my recovery time would be at my age. There was also a drone flying over the hot pools on Monday afternoon, when there were a lot of children. I asked reception, but they had no answer as to why it was there. Kind of creepy that a drone was buzzing about with so many children. This kind of peeping-tom voyeuristic activity is on the rise, and used by sex offenders. Did Fairmont report this? If not, I will report it to Cybertip.ca. As a retired teacher, I’m concerned about this illegal drones over schools and, of course, private areas such as Fairmont’s pool area. I also don’t want to be filmed in my bathing suit. Another thing. I was waiting at reception and was told “Un moment.” I waited patiently as staff went back and forth from computer to computer about some issue. Then some tall man from behind interrupted them with a question. The staff did not say “Just a moment” to this man, but actually ANSWERED HIS QUESTION. I commented on this unfair, unequal treatment right away to my daughter as to why I had to wait and this man who interrupted did not have to wait. The woman who was trying to manage the computer issue called someone from the back, who came out somewhat bewildered, so I called out, “Ici. Over here.” My question was answered. Most of the time I was treated respectfully, but this kind of treatment from a service-oriented hotel, catering to someone’s rudeness at the expense of someone’s respectful attitude, is something I will not tolerate. All clients should be treated equally. The first time I came in through the Terrasse level with all my ski gear, I asked the guy at the desk opposite the ski valet, if the elevator went up to the rooms. He said I had to change elevators at RC. I got in the elevator, saw my room floor number and pressed it, hoping that I could avoid more walking with ski equipment. I was right and he was wrong. I’m not sure why he would have said that. On your website under Storage in Guest Services it says, “Skis and bikes are not permitted in the guest rooms. Therefore the hotel is pleased to provide ski and bike storage. Please speak with the valet service upon arrival.” I did speak with the porter upon arrival who said skis were permitted in the room. Does the website need to be updated? Do you actually provide ski storage? If so, where is it? Unnecessary confusion at the moment. There were many things I did enjoy. I enjoyed seeing the deer out the window of my slopeside window. The room was very quiet, as requested. Staff were generally polite and knowledgeable. All in all, I had a nice time despite the numerous annoyances.
