We have been experiencing Fairmont Gold for over 25 years and it has never disappointed. We have come to know Catherine Featherstone-Haugh like family. She is indeed the backbone of the 4th floor. We sincerely hope that with all the changes coming to the Chateau Laurier that the Fairmont Gold experience remains the same tradition in this historical hotel!

I am a member of Accor and have stayed in several Fairmont hotels in Canada, including previously in the Laurier although I recall the room was in my sisters name. The hotel was again exceptional and many thanks for the free upgrade to a wonderful room. However, I do need to report an unpleasant experience with a bartender. He seemed unaware of the specifics of the free drink card slipped under the door of my room, argued about giving a complimentary drink to my travel companion with whom I shared the room, and presented as flippant and condescending in front of other bar guests. Although he finally relented, I did complain about this incident to staff at the registration desk immediately after it occurred as the situation was embarrassing and left a negative impression.

Good overall. Love the Chateau. Great food at Zoe's. Two critques only: We found the music in the lobby and around Zoe's had a relentless, pulsing beat and was too loud. There seemed to be no escaping the music, even in Zoe's. Other comment - which may be a sign of my age : a few staff addressed us as "you guys" even though my mother is 87 and also said "no problem" when we thanked them. It's a minor quibble. Rooms service delivery staff were great. Servers were also really good. Pool is fantastic.

Room was nicely decorated but walls were paper thin. We came for a romantic Valentines Day and listened to our neighbours talk and watch tv and everyone in the hall. Also outrageous prices on food in and out of the hotel room. I’m very glad we had a gift card that covered most of our stay because we would NEVER pay this much for a hotel like this.

My stay was bery enjoyable. I really appreciated the room upgrade and amenity which was offered by virtue of my Accor status also. The room was lovely. Service at the front desk , in the restaurant and at Zoeys was also fabulous. I enjoyed my stay very much.

The Chateau Laurier was a beautiful hotel and the service was excellent during our stay. The hotel is in an excellent location and the concierge service was very good. There was an additional charge per day for the use of the hotel wifi in our room which was unfortunate.

Sink didn’t drain, no shampoo (2 conditioner bottles), remote was dead for tv, maid walked in while I was on work conference call chatting loudly to co worker in hall - very poor experience on gold floor. Food was nice & usual good standard in gold lounge.

Great stay at this lovely hotel. The renovated rooms are really beautiful and provide an elegant relaxing experience. The cleaning staff are also very goodk . What we found surprisingly lacking was the service at the front desk and concereige desk. When we asked about restaurants we we told to Google nearby locations. The hotel has no spa services and we received little help from the desk on this. For brunch on Sunday there was a wait but as hotel guests they said they would give us a call in our room when our table came. They never called so we finally went back down and they said someone else must have taken our table- disappointing service. The other reason I might be hesitant to stay again was the pool area- this needs some improvements. The pool is ok but no other spa like features compared to other similar hotels.

Room great, all staff great. Walls thin - numerous loud kids on the hall were easy to hear, but staff took care of that when asked. Valet parking is a total disaster. Took over 30 min to get car. That's unacceptable in any case, but if it's going to happen, you should give guests very clear warning.

The location of the hotel was great. We enjoyed the Winterlude activities that were just steps from the hotel. The Sunday brunch was great, lots of selection. The rooms are lovely, well appointed. Unfortunately the sound proofing is very poor. We could hear the conversations taking place in both rooms beside us. We were kept up at night from the noise and woken up in the morning from the noise in both rooms next to us. Not a restful stay at all.

Hi, The room was ok, but breakfast in the hotel is ridiculously expensive. Also, you can't access the rear parking lot (at $40 per day) without walking around the hotel. When I asked the concierge if I could leave my luggage while I went to get the car, the porter standing next to us said it would be $4, which was crazy. When I came back he'd moved our luggage into storage (I was gone like 5 minutes). Odd and poor service.
