We stayed for four nights and five days, the flower decorations in the lobby welcoming area had dried up long ago and they were not replaced, they were displayed as dead corpses there when we left unfortunately. I complained about it the receptionist were clueless about when they will be replaced.

We planned on using the spa and relaxing on the day of our arrival but unfortunately that was not possible. The spa was so dirty and badly managed. The pool or the bath had completely brown walls and there were brown stuff in between the tiles as well. Since it looked brown and dirty it felt unsnitary to be inside the pool we stayed for a minute. Then I noticed that there was heavy water built up on all surfaces. This was the first time I had seen marble which wasn’t shining and instead looked dull and full of water spots and calc. Then we went to the hammam and it was also dirty. We didn’t even feel comfortable to sit on that marble there. All of the bowls were full of water even though the hammam was empty. All of the bottoms of the bowls were brown just like the pool was. All surfaces of the marble in the hammam had calc and heavy water built up. There was also smell in the hammam. So we couldn’t use it. Now let’s talk about the staff of the spa. When we entered the reception it had glaring white lights in the reception which gave the opposite effect of relaxation. There was a middle aged man in the reception who handed us a plasticky package which had one orange coloured small bottle which I assume would be the shower jel. We wore the robes that were given to us which didn’t even come below our knees. I am normal height 5’9” and the robe looked like it was made for children or tiny humans. Then a grumpy looking man came guided my husband to the men’s side. He was rushing him and trying to manage him inside the men’s side. He should have just told him go to this side and you’ll find all of these facilities. I suppose he was not trained very well and he couldn’t speak a word of English either. Also he was not wearing a uniform just a colourful swimming shorts and a tank top. It was a weird experience. So we couldn’t relax on day 1. Other staff in the hotel were all kind, respectful and nice. Our room was also clean and spacious. The temperature of the room was all very comfortable usually it’s either too cold or too hot for me. This was just right. Room service was always good very time we ordered. They always respected our space. Breakfast was also good. Healthy stuff in the breakfast was good but the hot dishes were very bad. Had no texture or flavor. So it’s wasn’t a big deal for me because I loved the go healthy section. It was a good stay because we decided to be in a good mood. But it wasn’t a relaxing holiday due to the lack of cleanliness, sanitary conditions and presentation and behavior of the staff in the spa. I am a yearly member at one of the Mövenpick hotel spas in Istanbul and it’s such a relaxing place for me and my family. We wanted the same relaxation but unfortunately this movenpick was nothing like the one we regularly go to in Istanbul.

We have arrived midnight and our room was already set up with extra bed as we were family so they have already upgraded my room free of charge and set up the extra bed for my child in the room. Breakfast was good and staff were all friendly and helpful. Charger of EV inside the parking was a good advantage for us. The view of city was nice.

Not what you could expect from a 5 star hotel. My girlfriend got sick after bad food from breakfast. Towels in rom had hair from other people (not clean?). Location ok, nice view.
