I have used this Ibis hotel 3 times this year , Feb, Jul and Dec for a stopover after my flight from Athens Greece, before returning home to Adelaide the next day. I like everything about this hotel , a good quality guest computer, great restaurant, impeccable room, convenient location, Professional staff and not least, essential for me a late checkout, for which I am most appreciative . I would like to take this opportunity to mention two long standing exceptional staff members that make the check in process a pleasure even after a 23 hour flight from Europe. Harshita and Suttida, both Reception GSA, Professional, intelligent and welcoming with charming personalities.

It was our first visit to Melbourne and we were rewarded with a very comfortable stay at the IBIS MELBOURNE CENTRAL. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to the public transport facilities in the Central Business District. The buffet breakfast spread at the Restaurant was wholesome and thoroughly enjoyable. The room facilities were all in impeccable condition. The hotel is highly recommended

Hotel is well located and within walking distance to trams and metro stations. Few issues that marred my impression: 1. Housekeeping was inconsistent. I had requested for a 'Do not Disturb' sign via reception/housekeeping hotline for at least 3 times before the request was met. Bath towels are also not replaced. 2. Key card - Can access lift to my floor but unable to unlock room door. Had to replace 2 times on separate occasions.
