We spent 3 nights at Ibis Quito and we were quite happy with our decision. It is well located, without being too close to the busy city center. There were several great restaurants nearby, and it was an easy Uber ride back whenever we were too tired from walking around town.

The room was quiet and the amenities everything I expected. It was difficult to contact the hotel before I arrived. It was also impossible to book a taxi or shuttle through Ibis Quito from the airport as there was only one way to confirm, and I was unable to do it this way as my Sim card does not work in South America. May I suggest you offer 2 ways, such as through Whatsapp as well for future guests. I received very polite reception and help during my stay, with one exception in the restaurant when I was rudely stopped as if I was running off without paying. A simple excuse me ma'am would have been okay. Apart from this Breakfast was 1st class and some of your staff are exceptional.

The experience was good overall, however there were a couple of things I was not too happy about . Staff during the morning shift is not very friendly (specially the restaurant staff) and/or not too willing to serve except for a lady working as waitress who was very kind, Staff during the night shift is more kind, friendly and polite . I have the habit of greeting each staff person I encounter, some staff ignored me completely . During meal times at the restaurant (I can't say all of the staff ) but mostly all of them are not paying attention to the customers there were a couple of times I had to stand from my table to order things, the day I arrived, I did long before check in time, I just got off of a plane after a 7 hrs flight I was hoping to sit and have a nice breakfast while waiting, the staff was very rude telling me they were about to close the buffet service , (in 15 min) so I just had that time to eat whatever was left . I felt like I was asking a favor rather than a valued customer , I was expecting they could offer the menu if buffet was not available . They were practically asking me to leave .

Overall it’s a typical minis no frills hotel. Felt safe as there is always a security guard and staff are friendly. Lunch and dinner menus quite good but breakfast could be better.
