Only booked a few hours before checking in, and even then they refused to change our booking (which had not been paid yet) to exclude breakfast as we had an early flight to catch. Another issue was I called and requested (which was confirmed by a lady on the phone) one of the rooms booked to have 2 beds. On arrival, they had no clue what I was talking about, and told me they can not add another bed to that room and downgraded us to a small twin room, at the service lift, on ground floor at the carpark where we hear every car and see every light shining in. Some power points did not work too, in both of the rooms. If they can so easily change one of the rooms to a worse one, then it does not make sense why they can not amend the booking and remove the breakfast extra cost as we did not utilise it. Terrible customer service, no resolutions what so ever. Worst Mercure I have stayed at and will strongly recommend others against going here. I am happy to change my mind about this hotel if I get credited/refunded the difference between just the room and the room + breakfast. Extremely shocked that this was not sorted at the hotel, even considering my status and loyalty.
