Reception area is welcoming as are the hotel team, check-in was efficient. The rooms however are tired and urgently need refurbishment, the air-con was not working, the window was broken and would not lock. The shower room was excellent. Service in the bar was friendly and quick. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good. Shuttle service to airport was efficient.

Well located hotel close to the Fiumicino airport with convenient (extra cost) shuttle service. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom, but only one working plug in the room. Decent and well priced breakfast (paid at time of booking), which very conveniently starts at 6:00 AM, which is great if you are traveling early that day. On the negative side, there was no way you can bypass the steps going to the elevators at the lobby or at least I didn't see how you could do it. The corridors leading to the rooms looked dingy but gives but the rooms were fine inside. They were clean and had a nice big shower and a comfortable bed. I booked the hotel directly on the Mercure website where it said that by joining the Mercure club I will get a 5% discount on the overall rate. The discount was not applied however and when I contacted the hotel, they said there was nothing they can do.

Heat in the room was deeply horrible. Constant buzzing noise all night. A/C did not work.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was well organized, and the room was comfortable and clean. I appreciated the hotel being close inconvenient to the airport as well with a shuttle available.

Excellent service overall. Team members who deserve a special recognition are: Christian (restaurant - a true connoisseur of food & wine), David (most elegant cappuccino we have ever seen - a true barista), the manager of the breakfast room (did not get the name -- a true gentleman), Sharon (reception), and other team members whose names I don't have. They are all excellent professionals, very helpful and pleasant to interact with.
