We enjoyed our stay, staff were great, Good choices for breakfast except I became very ill a few hours after breakfast, the only thing different we ate was I had the sausage, which made it very difficult traveling back to Australia as I was ill for 3 days Cheers

I got a superior room upgrade and liked it very much however improvements are possible: not enough plugs functioning in the room except the one in the bathroom and near the desk. Also would prefer soap dispensers for the shampoo/shower gel near the sink and the shower cabin.

The hotel was fine for a night’s stay, before our morning flight the following day. We arrived around 10:30am and were told that our room would not be available until 2pm, even though on our reservation it said we could check in at 12pm. The receptionist said that we could go to the restaurant for coffee. For three and a half hours?! We figured that we could at least get some lunch since we hadn’t eaten since breakfast. However, we were told that lunch didn’t start until 12:30pm. There were a few snacks out at the bar and we were able to at least order coffee. We sat around for two hours, waiting for the restaurant to open, and once it finally did we went inside. We were then told that the area was reserved and that we could not eat there. The receptionist had specifically told us we didn’t need reservations to eat at the restaurant, so I asked one of the waiters what we should do. Another waiter came over and told us that we would have to sit out in the bar area and eat because the whole restaurant was reserved. So we did. The food was fine. At 1:30pm, after we had finished lunch, we came back out to the receptionist and asked if our room was ready yet and she said it was. Why hadn’t she come to get us when she knew we were waiting in the bar area? I’m not sure. We went to the room and got settled. The toilet kept running and running so we asked that they send someone from maintenance to fix it. He came after a short time and the problem was fixed. The room was one that had been remodeled. I made sure to request a remodeled room after reading reviews from others saying that the rooms needed improvement. The minibar only had one sparkling water and one still water for two people. I called down to reception to see if we could get more water and she said all they gave was what was in the minibar. How can two people survive on one small bottle of water? I went to the bar and asked for them to refill my stainless steel water bottle and she said they didn’t do that. I’d have to buy a bottle of water. I’ve not bought a plastic water bottle in over two years, but here’s this lady in ROME of all places telling me that she can’t refill my water bottle. Seriously. I asked if she had any glass bottles and she said yes, so I bought a bottle of water. Water should be a free resource that’s available to anyone at any time. I should never have to buy water. I’ve traveled all over the world and this is the first time someone has ever told me I had to buy water. By the time dinner came, we just wanted a good meal. Thankfully the service and meal at the restaurant at dinner was superb. We slept well and arrived early for breakfast the next morning. We didn’t have a whole lot of time before our shuttle was to leave, so we quickly went in to get breakfast. All of the items that were meant to be warm (eggs, pancakes, beans, etc...) were cold. There wasn’t a big variety to begin with and we didn’t have time to ask them to heat things so we were left with croissants and toast, with granola and yogurt. The coffee was coming out of a cheap machine instead of the nice expensive coffee machine from the bar. The whole situation was disappointing. We told the waiter as we left a few minutes later that the food needed to be warmed again because it was cold and he said ok, but didn’t move to the area to do anything about it. He was still standing there as we went out to get the shuttle. Overall the stay was disappointing for as much as we paid to stay there. Mercure hotels have a reputation for high standards but this hotel did not meet those standards.

Our first night we found that our sheets were not clean. We were told that the bar was open but we had to wait 10 minutes and went looking for a bartender. My wife ordered a salad without onions and she received a salad with onions. I ordered a paninni with prosciutto but got a ham and cheese on white bread.

This hotel is not 4 stars. Location is good for the airport, though to charge 6 euros return for a shuttle in 2020 is pretty rip off. The hotel itself is falling to pieces. We were on the 5th floor and the room was dirty, old and in desperate need of renovation. The corridors also had wall paper ripped and falling off. Just a real dirty feeling, old hotel and despite being an accor member I would not stay here again. It needs a total remodel.

Stayed two nights for a meeting on site. The room was unbearably hot, making sleeping difficult. I asked not to have a balcony, but was placed on the third floor - only option for cooler air was opening the door to the large shared balcony, which feels very unsecure and could not be done over night. Advised front desk and was told the winter heat was on and the inroom thermostat could not make it cooler. They advised they could turn off my room from the main thermostat, but there was no change for night two. Breakfast options were plentiful, but all hot items were cold.

Room was not very clean. There were pee marks in the toilet seat and room seemed to be dusty. But would like to commend you for the great food when I dined in your restaurant.

Staff were very nice. Overall the hotel is in need of renovation/ updating. Room was clean with the exception of the carpets which needed some steam cleaning. But the price was very good, which maybe where you sacrifice an updated hotel

the room was fine, the service was good, the facilities were excellent .... but the airconditioning was very noisy. we ended up switching it off. the other very surprising thing was the amount of stairs that had to be negotiated between the front door and the room. at an airport hotel one would expect lots of luggage and should avoid stairs. that was disappointing.

The rooms were nice and convenient with adjoining for children as requested. Only one bottle of complimentary water in one room and the other room had two bottles but one had been opened by a previous guest. I guess this cant be checked by the service of the room every time however it is disappointing. Breakfast was nice and the bar very well presented and staffed to enjoy a drink and some down time thank you. Our adjoining rooms were not unlocked and when staff did unlock they deactivated our key that was left in the room so we had to ring down and arrange another key to be able to use the lights this system does not work for lights when you have two people in the room and only one key ? If one person wishes to sleep and the other leave the room or rest and watch tv how does the other person take the key to reenter if a person does not wake to open the door ?
