We had a lovely stay at SO Auckland. Our room was well maintained, staff were very friendly and professional. There was only one disappointment during our stay in that the Club Lounge upstairs area was used for functions and the noise from the events flowed down to the club lounge, it was not conducive to the quite, restful and relaxing club lounge environments we have previously visited. On one night we left unable to even hear each other talk, on our last night we didn't bother going back to the lounge choosing another hotel lounge within Auckland. The upstairs area during our stay was obviously also not available for use because of the functions. Whilst we now understand that the areas are available for events, customers who have booked club lounge access should be made aware prior to booking so that other arrangements can be made. A shout out to the staff at breakfast - exceptional service and food.

Overall a comfortable stay. Only issues being the condition of the room is a bit tired and some minor inconveniences due to the design (ie. vanity light being way too bright and making it difficult to use the hairdryer which had a limited cord length, tripping hazard between carpet & tile transition). Staff were friendly and welcoming, no complaints there.

Check in was ok but short staffed. Had to wait 10 minutes. Had to call down to concierge to get our bags delivered. Again short staffed Have done a review on the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Again short staffed

Disappointed we couldn’t get an early checkin plus also gutted rooftop bar was closed (main reason we choose So Auckland to stay at)
