Ideal location ... going cruising. Staff welcoming and helpful. Food good. Room quiet and spacious ... good night's sleep Have stayed in Grand Mercure several times and wiil no doubt return again in the future; great location with access to airport transfer at the door.

the hotel was ideally placed to access central Auckland and the staff were friendly, helpful and competent. Breakfast was great with wonderful food and an excellent location at the top of the building. I do suggest however that you allow guests to make their own tea as some people consume a lot.

We were looked after exceptionally well by all of the staff while we were in Auckland. From the early check in and local advice from Shaye, to the great food and service of the staff in Vue restaurant. We are highly likely to want to stay there again next time we are in Auckland.

Overall it was good, our room was on level 9. The chair in our room was very dirty with stains and there was hairs from previous guests. Had to switch off lamp individually in the room as there was no wall switches.. No a big deal but something nice to have as convenience.

The service at reception was friendly and very prompt. The room I was in (1014) had no ironing board so had to call reception to bring one. The door to the mini fridge was jammed so was slightly difficult to access the fridge.

Mediocre at best. The room, although noisy from outside traffic and building work, was clean and comfortable. Shower was superb! Breakfast was a complete shambles with hot drink orders delivered to wrong tables, a toaster which did not warm let alone toast the bread, a 40 minute wait for hot food items from the 'invisible menu' delivered cold and made wrong (dairy intolerance) and to finally have staff lean over the table whilst eating to clear condiments and dishware.

Good experience, not overwhelmed nor underwhelmed by anything in particular. Very clean, modern hotel with all the amenities. Room a bit small with sparse furnishings for the premium price.

It was pleasant staying, just couple of disappointment such as bathroom door wasn't close properly and need pay deposit although I paid for the room in full in advance...and the deposit still pending in my bank account after 3days I checked out.

We stopped in auckland the night before our flight out of new zealand, we were able to check in at 9:30pm and still have our car valeted. The breakfast was incredible and the staff was very friendly. The hotel room was clean and the view was gorgeous.

In the middle of the City

The service at reception was excellent!! But,t on New Year's morning the breakfast room was heavily congested, no coffee was available, etc. We went to nearby cafe after that. Another annoying thing was that our room had not been cleaned the other day. I informed the reception and got new towels. We returned from the city after 5pm and went after one hour for dinner. When we returned later in the evening, the room was still uncleaned.

I was with Road Scholar and I would like to say that as far as conferences go, Gavesh (not sure of spelling) was just amazing in assisting us - as he has done before. Nothing is too much trouble, he just goes about his work superbly. The only thing I would like to see improved is the name badges for your staff - they are very hard to read. We get great service from many staff but I am unable to read their names.

The Grand Mecure in Auckland CBD is our go-to for a dash of city shiz! We love everything about staying here for the convenient location right down to the perfumed aromas at reception & the laneway cafe for a quick coffee. We easily walked to mission Bay from the Hotel, found accessible beauty and wellness spas close by & the shopping & restaurants on our doorstep all within a few minutes away. ALready planning the next getaway.

Room clean & tidy but maids didn’t always top up used up toiletries or coffee pods and sugar so run out one day. Also WiFi was not great and would lose signal a lot. New Year’s Day breakfast was busy and food and plates ran out.

We had a very comfortable stay, with good space and comfort in the room, plus the location was good for getting out and about a little. The staff on check in and check out were very good, as were the restaurant staff. Excellent food, especially good value with the Accor card.
