Hotel is well positioned relative to the ferry and cruise ship terminals. Very friendly and helpful staff and we had one of our best ever hotel meals in their Vue restaurant.

Was in Auckland for business, great location. However, day 2 after the service, found blood stain on bedsheet, and when enquired with the reception, got asked whether it is my blood and how old the blood might be. I could not believe this, and asked for the room to be serviced again. Then had clean new sheets. No sincere apology from staff. No mention of this from staff whilst checking out. Rather surprised at the way this was handled. Especially with COVID-19, I expected higher standard of hygiene.

I booked in to Mercure because I had an early flight to Darwin on Monday 16th March. Booked in around 6PM and at 7pm learnt that if I traveled to Australia I would have to self isolate for 14 days. I then canceled my trip and caught the 8pm ferry back to Waiheke Island. So for the grand total of 2 hours in your establishment it may be considered a little. However when we get this virus it will not stop me from booking at Mercure again. Like everyone you are suffering and hopefully you can keep on as many staff as possible. Regards, Jim H.

Extremely clean and nice hotel ... Concierge staff and front end staff were very helpful and easy to deal with. The 13th floor restaurant was great and has a wonderful view. Being informed of the discount coupons for breakfast on 13 was a great bonus and very helpful ... Loved the Hotel and was easy access to most of the downtown locations... Would highly recommend the hotel to anyone ...

Our trip to Australia was cancelled while were at sea in New Zealand waters !! For four days we were rerouted back to Auckland!! Our travel agent booked us into this beautiful hotel while we waited to fly home directly to Canada. We were greeted by a very professional personable porter(a young fellow from Nice, France).the front desk staff were excellent !! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, happy hour and our gorgeous room. The location was perfect-we were able to walk to many places easily !!

Booked in last minute on a Saturday night. Couldn't get a harbour view, but given a city view room with an upgrade to a king bed. There was a great package offered as well, 2pm checkout, complimentary breakfast, and free car valet for $206. Room was lovely, breakfast was amazing. Thankyou

Our room was not cleaned not towels changed on 13 th March despite our raising this with the Reception at 2.30pm.When we phoned Reception at 4.30pm after we returned to the Hotel again,fresh towels were thereafter provided.More serious was the failure to give us a wake-up call the following morning Saturday 14th March at 4.45am which we had requested the previous day to give us ample time to shower,complete our packing and have the Hotel Breakfast as we had booked on a Train journey from Auckland Strand Railway Station to Wellington departing at 7.45am.Luckily I awoke at 6.25am and as a result we had to scramble to get ready as we only had 20 minutes to get ready and catch the taxi at 6.45am.There was no apology at Reception for the failure to give us the wake up call which we had requested the previous day.We nearly missed the Train which would have caused considerable inconvenience and expense. We also had to miss breakfast at the Hotel as there was insufficient time as a result of the failure to make the wake up call
