Would love to be warned about the 4am finish of the music right under our room

I have stayed at the Sebel Auckland Viaduct Harbour before and returned because I love the location. I was with a friend, so I booked two rooms. Both rooms were both clean and very comfortable. I appreciated the availability of the kitchen facilities. Reception was welcoming and helpful.

Comfortable room, very little city noise. Great location right on the Viaduct

We spent 2 nights here and the room was street facing. For the both nights we experienced some delinquents on the street playing loud music from their car, yelling and screaming from the top of their lungs. The bass penetrated our room. This was from about 10pm to about 3.30am!! For both nights!! Because it’s on the street, I don’t think the hotel can do anything about it. But it was nonetheless a very bad experience when we couldn’t sleep well. The decor was very dated. Quite a few cracked tiles in bathroom and hallway floor, old stained carpet, and doesn’t seem like it was vacuumed properly as my socks caught some blonde and white hairs (All of my family have black hairs). There were also some paint crack in the shower ceiling. The toilet seat was so close to the wall that I feel that I need to be a contortionist just to get the toilet paper! That’s a very poor design. The second day when the room service came, she only tidied up the bathroom. Didn’t make the bed, didn’t replace the coffee pods. I had to request the front counter to replace them. Bed was way too soft for me and ended up with sore backs for both days rather than having a restful rest. The pictures on the website does no justice to the reality that we experienced. I’m sorry to say, but we won’t be back to this hotel anytime soon, or at all.
