I wasn't a paying guest with the hotel but a passer-by who was in a midst of panic,a sense of erency a stress heaache and 4% battery charge... I dropped in to ask a if they had a charger. The reception manager went above and beyond! Thanks a million 😊

Very warm welcome by the reception staff, and the breakfast team the following morning. Very handy for bus services to / from the city centre, though it's only a fair 10-15 minutes walk. Two decent pubs right next door. TV channel selection is a bit limited and the TV system was not particularly responsive to the remote. After checking the text BBC1 disappeared from the programme guide. Overall, highly recommend for a cost effective stay compared to the Hilton in the city centre.

I like the vibe of this particular hotel - my favourite in the budget sector. The cafe on the ground floor is really excellent and serves up good coffee and a range of food options. My only gripes snd these are small are that the carpets could be freshened up in the corridor area and the WhatsApp order failed to materialise a response in the morning at 0700 - so I simply went downstairs to the cafe (Whatsapp order did work in previous evening).
