Our overall experience was good however one downside was the booking included a free spa treatment however when I asked how to redeem this I was referred to the spa who advised they knew nothing about a free spa treatment so we didn’t get this. Rooms were very warm but fan was provided and window did open. Breakfast decent choice but food not very warm.

The team and service were fantastic, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is very outdated, the room was exceptionally hot without air-conditioning and the basic desk fan didn't quite do the job at cooling the room down. We had several woodlice roaming around our bedroom over the 4 days we stayed which wasn't pleasant, and there were cobwebs with live spiders in the stairwell and near the lifts which just felt dirty. The food was great in the bar and restaurant. Overall, the service and food were good but the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel was poor.

Stayed with you overnight following a trip to Leeds Castle. You're perfectly based and the grounds of the hotel are lovely. Rooms were adjoining which was really great for family of 5.

Good location - poor restaurant service

Room good and clean, but query whether there should be mattress covers. Breakfast was good. Restaurant was extremely poor. We waited for 1 hour and at no time were we attended to. Adjacent diners confirmed to us that they also had to wait considerably time and the food served was poor. We decided to leave without any food and made a complaint at the front desk. The manager on duty did apologize and discounted our night stay which we accepted. Two other guests were also making complaints at the same time, one very similar to us, another with no hot water in the bedroom, which we didn't experience.

Comfortable bed and food reasonable but hotel looks very tired. Coat of paint in rooms/corridors would make a big difference. Room quite small & extremely hot. Would benefit from air conditioning or a fan.

We stayed for an event. The rooms are very tired, were boiling hot and they only gave us one towel for a twin room! Staff were very helpful just very under resourced

Hotel is very dated, first time in ages I’ve seen single glazing! No air con in room, which was unfortunate given it was a hot day. Also, having to go down steps from reception to use the lift is a stupid design, especially when you have large suitcases to lug! The breakfast buffet was generally tasty though, apart from the fried bread which tasted like it had soot in it.

Appreciated being allocated our favourite room. Felt a bit exposed with net curtain missing, hopefully it will be returned by our next stay. Meals very good, but need more choice of NON SPICY meals on menu.

No wheelchair access available to lifts from reception (had to go outside and through another (trade ?) entrance. Premier lakeside rooms slightly tatty …chairs worn ,dressing table tops damaged plus extractor fan in bathroom not working (room 213) and no suitcase stand . Biggest complaint from all of my guests (I had 7 rooms in our party ) was the heat in the rooms ..Far too hot , making it extremely uncomfortable. Room cleanliness was excellent. Staff service was excellent although on checking my bill I found I had been overcharged by £60 but I accept that this was a genuine mistake

We stayed at this location due to the closeness of it to a concert. The room was not ready for us before we left for the concert which wasn’t a problem but we would have then noticed the heating was on and reported it. Our windows were open which helped but we could not locate a thermostat. We received a small refund from the main reception but the issue really needs looking into.

We used the hotel as a base for my son's wedding in Maidstone .The room decor was quite dated but the main issue for the short time we were in the room was the ventilation. The room did not have air conditioning & the window could only be slightly opened which did not allow much air into the room.Even with this small amount of having the window opened you could certainly hear traffic noise. We paid for a lake side view which I think is a little hard to imagine ,as the lake was hidden behind trees & was not really a focal feature . We also had noise from a crowd using the bar below the window until 3 am. I am glad we booked for breakfast as the lady that was supervising the breakfast lounge was quite sharp / rude regarding getting breakfast & the breakfast area was not even full. Despite this there was a good array of breakfast , including gluten free & skimmed milk available . Overall the room was clean & comfortable.

Check in fast and simple. Room very basic and tired. Needs some investment of all rooms are similar. Food and drink I'm the bar we're good, but hotel cannot give me VAT receipts for my bar meal and drinks after my stay as the transactions don't stay on the system apparently. Due to this, I won't be staying again for business due the lack of capability to provide VAT receipts from the bar.

Understaffed, inexperienced staff, dinner was very poor and took an hour and a half, rooms are dated, walls are thin and we could hear guests late into the evenings.
