I stayed at Novotel London Blackfriars for 9 days and had a comfortable overall experience. The hotel is well located with easy access to public transport, and the reception team was very helpful - especially in assisting with our delayed luggage and later adjusting an overcharge for late checkout. The breakfast was good; however, the spread felt slightly limited compared to other Novotel branches, and there was no live pancake option. While the breakfast staff were accommodating, they appeared somewhat inexperienced and lacked the warmth and friendliness one would expect. When we requested that a packaged pancake be warmed, there was some confusion, and it was heated without removing the plastic cover. With a bit more training, attention to detail, and a more welcoming approach, the breakfast experience could be significantly improved.

Double charged. Evening meal in MAM was overpriced and not great.

When staying in a big city, your hotel room is for sleeping, and maybe some quick unwinding when dropping off purchases or freshening up before a night out. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable -firm mattress- and the bathroom is well sized with space to leave toiletries and a good shower that does not flood the bathroom floor. Also closet space to hang and lay clothes, so you don’t need to live out of a suitcase. We didn’t make use of the restaurant or pool, so cannot comment on that, but the location is perfect with two tube stations in close proximity and lots of places to eat and drink for those nights you don’t want to venture out too far. Also several supermarkets close by to get a snack or any drinks other than the complimentary water in the room, kept nice and cold in the mini fridge. Love this place and will definitely return again!
