Excellent service as always. Wife and self accommodated for two days at Ibis just outside Guingamp. Easy walk into town, but excellent restaurant next door. Staff very courteous and room exceptionally clean.

Excellent small Ibis hotel a short distance from the centre of Guingamp. My wife and self use often when we visiting the area. There is a small restaurant next door which is also very good, especially if you have one of their value lunches. All in all a good convenient Ibis hotel.

When we arrived in reception the girl was efficient but NOT friendly or welcoming, she provided us with a room only on room away from the main reception, so very close and therefore noisy! The door of the room was open and the cleaner was still in there! We went back out to reception to the bar to wait for the cleaner to finish, we had to wait for the receptionist to come round and serve us a drink as she was the only member of staff, she did not offer to change the room to one that was ready! Or offer a free drink for the inconvenience! When we got in the room, it was tired and grubby, the bathroom door had grubby marks all over it and the whole room had seen better days, black corners in the shower etc and the room smelled stale, like damp washing or old cigarettes. Then there was the noise, the person in the room above sounded like they were dancing a jig from around 10pm to 12pm so I wasn’t able to sleep! Which is of course the most important thing!

Depending on our availability, our receptionists could have offered you to stay in another room, if of course you indicated this beforehand on your arrival. We can't, in fact, tolerate such behavior on the part of our customers and be assured of the fact that we do not in any case accept a smoking room in our Hotel. Arrived at 9.00pm without a reservation due to a change in plans. The reception staff were very helpful, sorted out a room for us and a restaurant. Very helpful staff.

I tried to book through your website but because I use a different phone number to that supplied to my bank, your site refused to accept my payment. My bank (la banque Postale) uses 0044 75… but when I tried to use this in your website it refused payment. What's my bank phone number got to do with you? I wasted 2 hours trying to get it to work and eventually made my reservation by telephone, paying with the same card. Do you actually want reservations? I usually use Booking.com but they wouldn't give me your discount for IBIS members. I am very discouraged from using IBIS again

For, cleanliness, staff parking were all good. The evening "bistro" type meals good. However, this as spoiled the two evenings we stayed with between 14 and 17 local men taking over the restaurant to play cards. Moving tables, chairs to accommodate themselves. So loud we could not speak to each other. We decamped to the reception both evenings. Another couple came in, sat down for 10 minutes and carried their meal to their room. We told the receptionist upon departure who said she would tell the manager.

We have stayed at this particular hotel several times before. This time we were disappointed with the room. The air con/heating system is noisy and can be heard throughout the night even when the selected temperature is reached. Adjoining room entry doors do not close quietly but instead if left to close on their own "slam" shut thus shaking the walls of the adjoining room. Also, there was only one spare pillow in the room, when in a double room, there should be two. It is frustrating not to have a kettle and cups available for a coffee or tea. Last, most importantly, is the price online was only €53 for the night stay w/o breakfast but because the website is not functioning properly and continues to time itself out, we had to ring for a reservation and pay at the hotel - the price was then €70 and NOT what was found online.

To answer your questions, we would like to inform you that the red Ibis doesn't have a kettle or coffee in the room. (It is a will of the chain and therefore not our responsibility). The price you saw on the internet didn't correspond to the requested date of stay (this happens to us regularly because it is a "call" rate and we always offer the customer the same price as the one seen on the internet ). As for the extra pillow, there is one more in the wardrobe but of course we are at your disposal 24/24 to provide you another if necessary. Overall satisfaction was good. The staff were helpful when required. Breakfast was a bit limited for the price could have done with some warm food, bacon, sausages etc. Parking was good and accessibility fine. The restaurant was expensive for the quality of food, we ate in the hotel restaurant better value for money.
