Always Special!

I stayed at this hotel 10 years ago and had a fabulous stay and this visit, with my family this time, was just as special. Rooms are nice but the location is everything. While we didn’t get a view of the Eiffel Tower, we were able to easily walk outside for the night show. If you are lucky enough to get a room with a view (which I was 10 years ago) it is MAGICALLY! But I must call out Lilian D from Guest Services. My husband at stopped at the desk to ask a question and he had some small talk with Lilian and explained we were here to celebrate our daughter’s college graduation. As my husband left the desk, Lilian called out and asked “what’s your daughter’s name?” and my husband answered. The next night when we returned to the room, there were 2 bottles of lemonade and a beautiful, chocolate cake with a handwritten note of congratulations from Lilian! It made our daughter’s night! We kept missing Lilian to thank him personally but, a special touch like this is rare these days and made our stay here extra special! I will be back next time I visit Paris!

Poor customer service

Great views but poor customer service. I arrived before my room was ready, but I was able to leave my luggage and was informed I’ll receive a message once the room was complete . No message arrived, however I went back several hours later and joint the queue to check in. I waited over 20 minutes to receive my key, even though the lady who came after me was called to the side and received hers within minutes of her arriving. I then had to ask three different people for my luggage, which made me late for plans I had previously made, as I now wouldn’t have time to shower change (it had taken 35 minutes to get key and luggage). I then noticed the room was missing a sofa, as advertised and paid for. I went to reception to enquire about the correct room, only to be told ‘all rooms are small’, this wasn’t my question. I asked for a manager, and was joined by Assisrem. When I explained to him I was missing a sofa, he replied ‘but you are just one person so you don’t matter’. Assuming there was a language barrier I tried again and asked if his attitude would be different if I was a family of 4, he shrugged. He did offer a suite or a refund of 15% off my first night. I stated I just wanted the sofa, he said someone would come up and pullout the sofa bed (there wasn’t one). I accepted the partial refund, however this was never actually given. Then I had to again phone reception 3 further times for the non existent sofa bed to be pulled out. Eventually staff came to the room, and informed me I didn’t have a sofa! The following morning the room had been cleaned but not the balcony

A bit disappointing compared to our previous stay.

We usually go to this hotel because it is centrally located for all the places we like to visit. Great location but this time we found that the service at the bar/restaurant in the afternoon and at night was lackadaisical, they would sit you and give a menu and then show up 20 minutes later to take your order, unless I had already had to go to the bar to order. This is I total contrast to breakfast where the team is really welcoming and efficient. Especially in the area where Amadou is near the buffet. Though we had a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower, the sheer curtain was partly unhooked and not fixed during the 5 days we were there. The shower head leaked and was not fixed either.

Paid a fair bit to stay at this hotel for two nights with a room with balcony and view of Eiffel Tower! To be fair the view is amazing! Just a shame the actual balcony looks so scruffy! The room is not worth the price without the view, and we have stayed in far nicer hotels. Check-in sounded alarm bells when I asked for an ice bucket for our room! Was told ice machines on every floor but if not working I could go the bar to get some! Tried 3 floors and every machine out of service! Ordered room service who tried to charge €5 for ice! Told it wasn’t the ice it was the staff member being called!! Unbelievable - just paid £550 a night and then they want to charge me as their ice machines broken! After talking with staff they rightly removed from the bill! This hotel needs to look closely at these small issues! Given 24 hrs free wifi then told to sign up to sign up to some deal which we didn’t! WiFi is a basic now in this day & age!. Hate where hotels try to rip you off left right and centre! The other huge gripe is the noise from the track in front of hotel! Seems constant til very late! We also had awful noise from what seemed like a protest outside! I too could see next doors guests in my glass reflection whilst they in bed! Not great! If it wasn’t for the view this hotel not outstanding! Another let down was one of the staff asking a boy to take his feet off seat! Had he just waited he would clearly have seen this boy had special needs and it was embarrassing to witness as boys father shut him down and the penny then dropped! Pullman Paris needs to tweak things to give more of a 5 star rating.

We visited this hotel in the summer for our first Paris trip with kids and views didn’t disappoint. We loved the walkable distance to the tower and restaurants. Breakfast buffet was so delicious and fresh. We’re definitely coming back to this hotel again in 2025
