Very good stay

Strategically located very close to Eiffel Tower. Strangely, reception is on first floor and there is no Elevator. Only has escalator. Room was very good, great view. Breakfast was simply great for Vegetarian option, including Moussaka All in all, a very good stay

Staff need training

The hotel itself is nice. The location is great, the lobby Is lovely. However the staff are awful. Working in a hotel myself at reception I understand it can be busy and frustrating at times however I was completely shocked at how we were treated. We had called prior to request for a room with a view and some amenities as it was our friends birthday, the lady on the phone was very rude and cut the phone off twice. We were given a cold check in with 0 information. The room was fine, very basic however had no iron or water which are basic things for a hotel. Also no amenities. The sofa bed hadn't been set up. When asking the desk if they can set it up they replied "you need to do it yourself" then cut the phone off. The bed sheets and pillows were stained and the beds were very hard. Trying to call the desk for some extra towels was impossible nobody answered the phone but downstairs was not busy, so the staff have no excuse for not picking up. The hotel is really let down by the staff who need better customer service training.

Big room, big hotel, big groups BUT a good place to stay

I’ve read a variety of reviews from good to bad about this hotel. I say it is a fine hotel in a decent area. It was booked by my group for me. The positives are that the room is large, modern and clean. There is a tea kettle and refrigerator to use. The breakfast room offers a nice variety but it can be busy and noisy. This is in a neighborhood full of restaurants and shopping for middle class things. A Monoprix a block away makes it easy to fill the refrigerator. It is a 15 minute Uber ride, 1/2 hour metro ride and hour walk to many of the major Paris sights. The biggest downside is that too many places you may want to visit require one or two changes on the Metro. I wouldn’t mind so much using the metro if I didn’t need to change lines. Uber is a bit less than $20 to most places. Do look for Maria at the reception for the breakfast room. She loves to entertain us with her lovely costume jewelry each morning. Overall, I would stay here again

Worst Chain Hotel in 100 Countries Visited

Worst chain hotel I have stayed at in 100 countries! The Novotel Paris Center Eiffel Tower calls itself a 4-star hotel; however, the room I have been staying in has not been vacuumed in at least three days! To add insult to injury, the cleaning woman did not replace the towel I washed myself with in the shower stall two days in a row! Today, I finally got really fed up after I noticed that the carpet in the corner by the bed still has peanuts and other dirt on it going back at least three days! I made four separate requests to Reception starting at 2:30 pm, then at 5:00 pm twice (by phone and in person) and then at 9:15 pm to have the room vacuumed. So far nothing has been done! I have asked repeatedly to speak to a manager but have not been referred to one! As a matter of fact, when I called around 5:00 pm to talk to reception, Tina, the receptionist I talked to, Initially in French, said, “I don’t understand you” which was very rude. This is the worst chain hotel I have ever stayed at and it barely deserves two stars. Does this hotel even have a General Manager? I deserve a refund of two of the five nights I paid for. The last time I went down to Reception, I reported all of the above to a receptionist named Liamine. Still hopeless! Still no resolution other than, “You can come back tomorrow and talk to guest relations.” How useless, disrespectful, mean and unprofessional! This morning, we went to the dining room and a tall black man told us both that even though we wanted a croissant and two toasts with honey and a coffee, we have to pay €19/person.

A good stay and e recommend the hotel

We stayed in the hotel while attending the RWC semi finals. While the hotel was very busy, they managed very well and we had no issues or complaints. The buffet breakfast provided a good selection and everything was well presented and fresh. The room was clean and well maintained. The public areas were also kept clean and tidy. We were very impressed with the water bottle filing stations in reception - the first time we have experienced this and we were very impressed. As will all French hotels, the selection of English speaking channels on the TV as limited to a couple of channels - more would have been nice. Easy access to wherever we wanted to go made the stay very good.
