One night stay before flying back to USA. Good economical stay. Dinner quality was good, above the price for the food. Our limitation was non-Spanish speaking but the service was in line with that limitation.

- Service given at the restaurant was horrendous. We were 6 persons satying in three rooms, and we asked for some ice to bring to the room as there is no ice machine. With a really grumpy face we were informed we could get one mug of ice and no more, even if we said that we are six people. It took 15 minutes and three reminders for the waiter to bring us the cup of ice which had 4 ice cubes in it. After which he was expecting a tip for his "service". To be noted that there were no other customers eating in the restaurant at this time.

At one night we arrived a little bit later than usual (around 22h). The parking was closed (I was told that I could park by myself, which is always my choice since the car is rented). Well, that night it was a little bit different. The person responsible for the parking was EXTREMELY rude. At the hotel, an employee told me that she could do nothing about it (I asked to talk to the manager) and even offered to return my money (!!! - really? I did not want my money back, me and my wife were extremely tired, just wanted to park the car and go to the room). After some discussion (me, the parking person and the girl from the front desk involved), the guy responsible for the parking took my keys (again, I was told when I arrived it was not necessary) and suddenly started talking to me. The car spent the night parked OUTSIDE the garage. I was told that there was insurance from the parking company, but I had to return the car the next day. If something happened, I would of course spend precious time. Well, it is all about the experience. Unprepared employees (both at the parking and the front desk). This was the worst Ibis experience I ever had (and I use Ibis hotels a lot).

As a all Ibis hotels in the world you get the same. What you pay is what you get. This particular Ibus is close to Plaza las Americas and easy access to Cancun. Good location, same rooms as all Ibis.

I stayed before a early flight. The location is good because it is walking distance to local things. My first room, when I got to it, the key did not work. I got help from the front desk. The handle was loose on the door. I turned on the air and thought when I can back it would be cool. It only ran on fan and even the button was broken on the control panel. I informed the desk that it was not working and I tried all settings and speeds. After my shower the whole room floor was wet with humidity. They switched me to another room. The I turned on the air around 8 but it did not get cool until 10. In both rooms the safes were closed so you could not use them. So overall it was not great stay. I stay at about 40 hotels a year and travel write. I have stayed at several ibis in Mexico in merida and Chihuahua. Ibis is a good basic hotel but your hotel needs some details attended to.

overall, It was good experience to stay at Ibis but need few improvements in rooms. our room size was very small and bathroom is very close to the bed. it was not good for health and hygiene point of view. exhaust system was very poor. bathroom smell come to the room which was not good for health point of view. Breakfast was average. staff was very professional, helpful and friendly. location is fantastic.
