SLS PLAYA MUJERES 5 stars

I just returned from celebrating my birthday at SLS Playa Mujeres and had an amazing experience overall. I traveled with my parents, two siblings, and their partners, and we all had a fantastic time. The property itself is beautiful — modern, stylish, and very well maintained. The beach is gorgeous and well cared for, and the oceanfront views from the rooms are stunning. I stayed solo in an oceanfront room, which was exceptional. The layout was thoughtful and luxurious — the bed faces the ocean, there’s a great patio with a daybed and table, and you can even see the ocean from the shower, which was such a cool design feature. The built-in closet system was also really helpful for organizing everything during the stay. Housekeeping did an amazing job every day — fresh towels, a perfectly made bed, and coming back to a spotless room made the stay feel extra relaxing. Thank you, Norma Gonzales! Check-in was smooth and easy thanks to Fernando, and the front desk team was very accommodating when I asked to move from Tower 1 to Tower 2. They handled the request quickly and communicated everything clearly. One of my favorite parts of the resort was the adults-only pool. The atmosphere there was great — fun but still relaxing — and the Twiggy Bar by the pool became one of our go-to spots during the day. The water aerobics classes with Alex & team were awesome! The trampoline one was a hit! The only critical feedback regarding the pool was the poolside service could be slow at times. Lunch at Bungalow was excellent, especially the coconut shrimp, popcorn chicken, and fajitas. The view of the ocean is beautiful! We also had lunch three times from Twiggy —one poolside and 2 in the restaurant. Food was delicious every time. The food overall was a highlight of the trip: • Caracol (Mexican restaurant) the first night had some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Since it was my birthday, the staff surprised me with sparklers, a dessert plate, and sang happy birthday, which made the night really special. • The Market also had great Mexican night option and breakfast buffet was delicious! • Union Steakhouse had good service and solid food. • The Italian restaurant was fantastic — the Caprese salad was incredible, the pasta was fresh, and the tiramisu is a must-order dessert. • Our last dinner was at Hudson Tavern, where the ribs were really good. Another big plus was room service, which is available 24/7. You can schedule it in advance and every order we placed arrived exactly on time. The service across the resort was truly top-tier. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I was practicing my Spanish during the trip, and the staff were very kind and encouraging. A few staff members who really stood out and made our stay extra special were Eddie at The Market, Lady and Gladys at the spa, Franklin at the Twiggy Bar, Kimberly at Twiggy Restaurant, and Kimberly the hookah hostess at Twiggy. I treated myself to a spa body treatment with Gladys, and it was honestly one of the best spa services I’ve ever had. A couple helpful things for future guests: • The SLS website converts into an app during your stay, which is really helpful for viewing daily events and activities. I loved that there was entertainment every night, although it would be nice if some shows started earlier than 8:30 PM. • There are ice machines on each floor and the coffee shop serves ice cream until 9 PM, which we didn’t discover until a couple days into the trip. It would be helpful if those perks were mentioned during check-in or in the room information. • It would also be nice if ice cream was available on the room service menu as a dessert option. One thing to note: if you are looking for a very quiet adults-only resort, this may not be the best fit, since there are families and kids on the property. However, the family pools and adults-only pools are completely separate, which works really well. You may occasionally hear kids in the hallways since families stay in both towers. Overall, this was a fantastic birthday trip. Between the beautiful property, excellent food, amazing service, great entertainment, and the incredible adults-only pool, we had an unforgettable stay. We will definitely be back.

Wife and I stayed 3 nights as a last vacation before our first child was born. We came in on a Tuesday and left on a Thursday, it was excellent in nearly every possible quality and element. Only areas of concern I found were that: during night room-service we explicitly requested a "well-done" steak but was given to us very medium rare instead, which of course my pregnant wife could not eat. Additionally, the men's restroom in the Caraco restaurant had both stalls with faulty locks, it appeared they were just misaligned so the latch was a few millimeters off from the bolt. It was particularly evident because the sheer line below the entry point was bent where the bolt was hitting the wrong spot. Only other area that was not expected was the dinner rush at nearly every restaurant, it appeared even the waiters and front of house staff were upset or disturbed by due to a rush in the kitchen, but it occurred at every restaurant for dinner. I would also wish the beer options were more expansive, even at a premium I would have been excited to have a cider or ale option, but it was really just standard domestics (minus Modelo for some reason). Even being nitpicky in some things, it was an excellent stay and all of the staff were more than accommodating and kind. I would love to return.

The hotel itself was clean and modern. I loved all the different places to have a seat and how everything was easy to get to. The service was what is lacking. Out of the 7 days we were there we maybe received a high chair for our baby to sit in 3 times. We were asked when we arrived at the restaurants and then they were never brought. We had to hold her most dining times. We also felt there is entertainment lacking, there’s not much to do during the day. While we were there it was windy and chilly and there was nothing going on during the day so it felt boring. The nightly entertainment we saw was ok. My toddler loved the bubble show. We were also there for my daughter and my birthday. Our butlers knew it was our birthdays yet we didn’t get anything to celebrate. Other resorts I have been to have always done something. A door shash, something on the bed etc. The food was hit or miss. We really liked the Asian restaurant. It was our favorite. The steak quality was not good at steak restaurant but the rest was good. The arancini was still cold when they brought it to us at the Italian restaurant. We liked the Mexican restaurant and I also liked my chicken kabobs at Cleo’s. The beach was kept clean and we always found a place to sit which was nice! Everyone we spoke too from staff was very friendly. Our first day there we got someone to bring us guacamole on the beach, we saw the people next to us getting food. After the we never were asked again. Overall we had a nice relaxing trip. It’s a beautiful resort and you don’t go hungry.

SLS Playas mujeres is one of the best hotels Ive ever stayed at!! It’s an all inclusive resort that offers so much to guests!! It’s extremely safe and the staff are very kind and helpful!! I also loved the restaurants on the compound and the overall view was just simply amazing!! I would love to stay here again!!

The hotel was wonderful we had an amazing time. The hotel was on the smaller side which we loved because we didn't feel swallowed by it, we were constantly taken care of, and everything was easy to get to and seamless. The food was wonderful and our room was perfect and secluded. The pool was great and all of the service was impeccable. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking
