My partner and I were there for a wedding. We had a beautiful experience. Our experience at the reception desk was great, the view you can see from the resort is amazing, the rooms are impeccable, and all of the restaurants were delicious. I only wish that late night room. Service had a different menu as those items weren’t that good. Pretty basic

I feel the SLS over rated itself. there was nothing to do after dinner. the evening excitement was listening to the kids run up and down the hallways screaming . Then there was all way watching the pool area people chasing the adults with there kids out of the adult pool area. Or the light over the side of the bed was never fixed. The soap bottle in the shower with a bad pump was never replaced just moved to a difference bottle so that one wouldn't work. The service at breakfast started off good then by the end of our stay I had to get my own coffee. I don't get it. I think at the best from someone who worked at a five star hotel in Las Vegas, this hotel pushes it to be a 3,5 star hotel. the hallway make you feel like your in a hospital.

We had a great time at the SLS! The hotel was beautiful, the service was excellent, and the kosher food was plentiful and tasty. The only negative was the seaweed in the ocean and the beach.

I think this was one of the best vacation we had as a family. Felt like an adult-only resort but with families. Perfect for older families with older kids. The food was amazing. While all restaurants were great, we especially valued the Mexican and Asian restaurant. Special thanks to our waiter at the Lotus who was speaking perfect French with us.

Good kids pools ( the larger kid pool is too small for the number of occupants). Very nice adult pool, large and well designed. Spa price outrageously expensive. Double of normal USA costs and triple European costs. The restaurants were overall good with good service.
The extra food charges, for example in the Union steakhouse for Wagyu meat, were obscenely expensive, the same for the wines ( example red wine that cost in a US liquor store $20 or $25 in your restaurants was $140.......we know prices!!! BIG RIPOFF!!)
Another annoying situation was the fact that we could not go to dinner to the Mediterranean restaurant , across from the adult pool , because it was closed to accomodate a large amount of "{kosher only" diners). This was not nice and the management should come with some type of incentive for the clientele .

I have high standards for luxury resorts, and this property delivered particularly well on service, family friendliness, and a staff that consistently went out of its way to make our trip special. A special thank-you to **Marcos** in room service in Tower 1. He got to know our children and their snack preferences and repeatedly made them feel so special. Those thoughtful personal touches made a real difference.
Before we arrived, **Johanna**, our pre-arrival concierge, was fantastic. She helped us upgrade to Elite at a better price point and arranged for our family to use a cabana complimentary for a day. It was a terrific start to the trip.
Our Elite concierge, **Fabiola**, was truly exceptional. She was dedicated to our family throughout the stay, always gracious, responsive, and willing to help with anything. One night she even drove to a pharmacy to pick up medicine for our daughter, and she helped my husband find someone to come to the hotel and repair his iPhone. Unfortunately, she had to leave her position just before the end of our stay for family reasons, but any resort would be fortunate to have her. Her level of service rivaled what we have experienced at Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis properties.
At the family pool, **Ever, Leo, and Elena** were wonderful with both us and our kids. They kept the drinks coming without us having to search for someone, and Leo was especially fun, creating kid-friendly “shots” that our daughters loved. **Baruc**, the beach and pool supervisor, made our days effortless by reserving the specific Elite-section beach cabana we preferred, so we never had to participate in the early-morning towel game.
For wine and dining, **Carlos**, the sommelier at Union, Fi’lia, Lotus, and Caracol, was a standout. He introduced us to unique Mexican wines and provided genuinely excellent restaurant service. Dinner in Union’s wine cellar was a particularly lovely experience and well worth arranging.
My husband also became very fond of **Ciro**, the bartender at Twiggy Pool. Ciro knew our names and our favorite drinks almost immediately, often making them without us even asking. He is a true gentleman, and his entire team was excellent.
## Spa and Kids Club
We rarely use hotel spas more than once, but the spa here was so good that we came back twice. **Elena and Levin** gave us two of the best massages we have ever had. The spa itself is beautiful, the hydrotherapy area was excellent, and **Rosie and Abraham** were sweet, thoughtful, and helpful in explaining how to use everything and bringing drinks. **Victor** also helped us find great massage offers and arranged a wonderful touch: brief massages at our Bali beds.
One suggestion for the resort: offering short chair massages poolside could be a great addition.
Our daughters adored the kids club and its team: **Wendy, Esfani, Adry, Karol, and Lily**. The activities were engaging, and the staff was warm and attentive. Our only disappointment was that there was no evening kids club; that would be particularly helpful for parents who want a dinner or evening break.
## Food and Entertainment
The nightly entertainment was varied and enjoyable. We especially loved the swimming show and the steampunk fire show.
For an all-inclusive, we thought the food was solid overall:
- **Union:** Excellent steak.
- **Caracol:** Great tacos.
- **Lotus:** Fun and very good teppanyaki.
- **Twiggy:** Probably the best lunch food on the property.
- **Fi’lia and Cleo:** Fine, but not our favorites.
We also enjoyed the complimentary tequila tasting.
## A Few Practical Tips
This is decidedly more family-friendly than adult-oriented, which was ideal for us. The service was spectacular, especially once the staff got to know us, and the employees work incredibly hard.
A few suggestions for future guests:
- Ask about available Elite upgrades, cabanas, and spa pricing—there may be flexibility or promotions.
- Get to know the staff early in your stay; the personal service becomes even better once they know your family.
- Tip generously and early when you receive excellent service. The team hustles and clearly takes pride in going above and beyond.

We had a beautiful stay at SLS Playa Mujeres. The property is stunning, well-maintained, and truly feels like a luxury resort.
The staff was kind and helpful throughout our stay. One small suggestion would be for staff members to be a bit warmer and more proactive when greeting guests as you pass them around the resort. A simple smile or friendly greeting would make the experience feel even more welcoming and elevate the already excellent service.
Our butler was absolutely fabulous—courteous, attentive, professional, and always happy to help. He truly elevated our experience. The Elite Beach staff also deserves special recognition; they were excellent and provided outstanding service.
One suggestion I have to make the hotel feel even more luxurious is regarding the drop-off/entrance area. There is a tree decorated with an unusual chandelier and hanging lights that, in my opinion, cheapens the otherwise elegant aesthetic of the resort. Replacing it with something more refined and sophisticated would better complement the high-end feel of the property.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend SLS Playa Mujeres.

I stayed at SLS Playa Mujeres for a week in a swim out room with my kids. It was a great experience. It was enough luxury to satisfy my needs, while also had a great gym for my son, and many kids activities for my youngest. They both said it’s the best property we have stayed at to date. It’s the first property I know I will rebook.

A bit disappointed the front desk agent said our room number out loud upon check in, didn’t ask us if we were celebrating anything even though we were and when we stepped out the car I saw other people getting those welcome towels and drinks and we didn’t get anything. Just didn’t feel very luxury

Overall, my daughter and I had a wonderful 4 days here last week. The pools and beaches were beautiful, and the food very good. The property is gourgeous. A few negatives were the hundreds of kids running around, but it was nice to have the adult pool. We were unable to eat at Cleo because it was sold out to those who are kosher, which was disappointing. We also noticed many pool chair cushions were dirty as well as a cushion in our room. I thought the hotel was only 2 years old but it didn't seem new to us.

I was extremely disappointed with the evening scheduling while my family and I were there. We stayed for 4 days, 3 nights and I specifically picked those days reflecting on past weeks where there would be evening shows scheduled. However, for every night we stayed there was NOTHING! And the night we left and the same weekdays thereafter also had evening shows. We feel like we were robbed of this entertainment.
