We arrived in Pune early in the morning and booked this hotel only because we needed a room for three hours before checkout. Despite such a short stay, we were made to wait 45 minutes just to check in. The front desk handled the situation terribly. Our ID cards were taken repeatedly, once every few minutes, with no clear explanation or urgency. We were simply told that no rooms were ready. For a guest who has booked a room for barely three hours, wasting 45 minutes of that time because the hotel cannot get a room ready is unacceptable. What made the experience considerably worse was the attitude of the front desk staff. After waiting for 45 minutes, when we finally questioned the delay, Sakshi at the front desk responded in an unbelievably dismissive tone: “Yeah? We have given the room keys, right?” That response perfectly summed up the level of hospitality at this property — indifferent, unapologetic and completely lacking in basic courtesy. I own and operate 4-star hotels myself, so I understand very well that operational delays can occasionally happen. What is absolutely inexcusable is making guests wait without proper communication and then responding with arrogance when they understandably ask for an explanation. This was, without exaggeration, one of the ugliest displays of hospitality I have ever experienced. A hotel can have good rooms and facilities, but when the front desk treats guests as though they are an inconvenience, none of that matters. Extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable.
