Extremely Disappointing Experience at ibis Pune Hinjewadi

I’ve stayed at several 5-star and 3-star hotels across the country, including many ibis properties and other Accor group hotels like Novotel, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. From the beginning, the service was poor. I had requested an early check-in for 1 PM while making the booking itself. Despite this, when I reached the hotel, the receptionist (I believe his name was Vinay) was rude and completely unhelpful. He initially told me I’d get a room by 1:30 PM, so I waited. Half an hour later, he casually told me he couldn’t commit to a time. What was the point of making me wait then? What made it worse was watching him allocate rooms to several other guests who arrived after me. When I asked about it, he told me they prioritize "hourly check-in" guests over those who have booked full day and night packages. That was shocking to hear — apparently, booking a full-day stay makes you the least important customer. On top of that, he then told me to speak to another receptionist because he couldn’t help me with the check-in. I don’t know what personal issue he had, but his behavior was unacceptable, especially in the hospitality business. And this was on a Saturday — with just one staff member at the front desk handling all check-ins and check-outs, leading to more chaos. Later in the day, I called the front desk before heading out and asked them to have the room cleaned while I was gone. When I returned, absolutely nothing had been done. This experience was not only frustrating but completely unexpected from an Accor-managed hotel. I’m highly disappointed and definitely won’t be staying at ibis Pune Hinjewadi again.

Good stay with most of the amenities provided. No complaints with the room. This next to road noise couldn’t be heard. Breakfast menu could be improved. Coffee machine was not available. Fewer breakfast tables present. Check in and Checkout process was efficient. Staff was polite.

The room smelled a lot, even after house keeping staff cleaned it, the smell didn't go away. Not just the room, the corridor and the lift smelled of cigarettes. I had mentioned this at the reception as well.
