I got to visit the Sofitel club floor for the first time after Covid. Even though it had been over a year since I had been there, your staff member Sybil remembered my name and really made me and my guest feel welcome there. I have stayed in your hotel many times over the last few years and Sybil has always been so nice to me, very helpful and professional but also really warm and welcoming. It really makes a huge difference to have that kind of personal service at a hotel and I really appreciate it. And I have always enjoyed the club lounge, with its excellent selection of drinks. So all in all an excellent stay, and I really want to give a special note of thanks for Sybil.

We spent Xmas in Sofitel Harbin and had a fabulous break. Everything was great, from the hotel limo pick-up at the airport, to the welcome on arrival, our terrific room, the hospitality in the Club Lounge, the breakfast and the joyful Xmas Dinner, complete with Santa wearing a protective mask. Everyone knows that Harbin in the winter is really cold, but the warmth of the welcoming staff could not have been better. To name staff is difficult because I can't remember all of the names, but among them special thanks to Lydia who generally looked after us, Sybil in the Club Lounge, Guilio at breakfast and the driver who drove the airport limo as well as the bus to the Ice Festival. There's a terrific park opposite the hotel that was covered in fresh snow throughout our stay and which has an excellent walking track as well as lots of family activity playing in the snow. The Ice Festival was sensational, and a fast train day trip to the snow resort of Yabuli was also memorable. Top marks to the hotel, the staff and to the sights of Harbin. Our 2020 Xmas was one to remember.

Started badly with club lounge being closed and staff not knowing how to deal with the situation. Accor head office helped to arrange a suitable alternative for us. Dinner buffet was poor and staff attitude generally very bad. Hotel itself and room was lovely.

We stayed here 23-25 and 27-28 Dec I choose here as its part of accor group and I have stayed few time in diff Sofitel hotel so I expected a good service as well in here. Porters in Harbin don't help you with luggage, they just stand there and do nothing. The check in desk don't really speak English that well. I travel with my parents and sister and family, but our rooms are quite way apart. Which is quite inconvenient for us My room is not really cleaned properly and there is blood in one of the pillow (no one is having nose bleed btw) so it's quite disappointing to have this experience I did send another request to make sure we are not so far apart in our room in the next stay but it also didn't happen. Bfast was alright, as we can't expect much in Harbin but it's better than the food outside I hope they can improve the service and be more kinder to foreigners

hotel is very old and location is not ideal especially if you want to visit the old city or the wanda indoor ski center. the interior looks very tired. breakfast quality needs to be improved considerably. not sure the value for money. my room was also very warm throughout the night

First of all, Thank you for complete my requests (connecting room and late check-in). Anyway I and me family waited for check-in so long time because of missing something in your payment system. I'd booking in advance payment but your staff said nothing. Hopefully that this event will not happen again. But overall, everything is fine. except air conditioner was not cold.

Nice rooms with very good beds and extremely beautiful bathroom with rain forest shower and additional big bath tub. al the public rooms are extremely luxurious: spacious lobby, cafe, big shopping area (souvenirs, clothes..), fitness/swimming pool, restaurants.Especially worth mentioning is the work of the concierges Joseph and Sky. They answered all our questions (even concerning public transport within harbin, which might be unusual for most clientsg) gave us a lot of advice concerning sightseeing and were always open for a chat or giving us insights of life in harbin. By doing this they have been both, very professional and at the same time e.g. with sky we could talk very familiar, like being friends.Also recommendable is the outrageous breakfast buffet. I have been in several Sofitels, and together with Sofitel SO in Bangkok, the choice of food at the breakfast buffet at Sofitel Harbin is the best.Concerning the staff, Guido will stay in our memories for very good service. Improvements could be made to the bread section (some days bagueteb, bread and rolls seemed to be dry, possibly from the previous day).Improvements are also necessary concerning the refill of the buffet. Especially the yougurt, salad and fruit (especially berries) and pastries section run out of stock berore the official end of the buffet. And in an international luxus hotel I expect a selection of teas at breakfast (not only standard green or black.Surprisingly a lot of staff members (e.g. lotus spa suites, wellness, restaurants) don't speak a single word of English.Evening buffet restaurant is also very recommendable. Huge choice inkluding alkohlic and non-alcoholic drinks at very reasonable price. Chief waiter was also very nice, as he showed us round in the first day, just to convince us that it is worth taking the buffet. We felt like peronape guests.

Sofitel Harbin facilites are quite in line with many other Sofitel properties I have stayed in around the world. Rooms and puiblic spaces are all very nice. One and only complaint was the quality of food in the Elements restauant. We dined there one evening last week at around 8pm. The restaurant is set up in buffet style. Of the fairly vast array of food that was presented we could not find anything that was warmlet alone hot. It appeared that all warming plates were turned off. In the 30 mins or so that we were there we did not see anyone even check the status of the buffet food. The ony service attention we got was a woman that "threw" a plate of raw salmon on our table I have no idea what that was about. I barely found something edible and my wife didn't and she is not a picky eater. We left frustrated, dissapointed and about USD 40 poorer. Not sure how this happend at a Sofitel.BTW Joseph the concierge was great! Thanks Joseph.

I stayed 4 nights in Harbin Sofitel. Check in is smooth though I have to remind them upgrading my room to next category room. The Suite is beautiful and very comfortable though a bit old. During X'mas, they left a small gift on the our desk that gave us a surprise, my wife gave this little present a LIKE.Sofitel Harbin Executive lounge is a good place for chat and drink. All the staff are very nice and helpful. One regret is no chance for us to try their restaurant. On our last night in Harbin, we want to have dinner buffet in hotel but all full. Overall it is good stay in Sofitel Harbin.

Sofitel Wanda Harbin was a great choice. It was within easy access to all we wished to see and do. The staff were efficient, helpful and friendly and made our stay a pleasure. The Hotel is beautifully appointed and we enjoyed all their facilities as well as their excellent restaurants and bar, where the Jasmine tea was made to perfection! Two days of our visit the air became polluted and the hotel provided a complimentary humidifier. Harbin was a unique experience in China. The friendly people, culture, history, and cuisine gave us a bigger picture of China and we would love to return for the Ice Festival.

Insisting for payments after showing the confirmation emails from Accor clearly stating ZERO balance to pay at hotel. The room on lounge level was not cleaned for the whole day till 1050pm, I have to call for cleaning. Refusing to provide free breakfast to Platinum members from Accor. Lounge staff said no breakfast, front desk staff said no breakfast. No room available at 1300 while checkin at lounge, waited for more than 1 hr. I did not expect this would happen as a platinum member there. Worse overal service I have never experienced with Sofitel at all. Now I wish someone from Accor at least can do Sth with my double charged stay cost.

Great hotel in a non touristy part of Harbin

Visited this hotel twice within a two week period. It is not in downtown Harbin but is within a 20 minute bus ride No. 21, cost 1 Yuan, from downtown and Harbin train station. Huge lobby, staff that are reasonable fluent in English. I had access to the club which had internet, a range of foods and beverages throughout the day. The room wasn't overly hot as some Chinese hotels can be in the middle of winter. Being next door to a Wanda Plaza was a bonus as there was a Starbucks, other western restaurants, a cinema and shops. I had a suite room twice which was a typical Sofitel layout.

CGL1011 Business - TripAdvisor review

I am an Accor Gold member but I got a room with no air-conditioning. I complained and they changed to another room. Next morning I got a terrible headache due to the heat in the room. I complained again and they finally change my room to another floor. I could not believe that room was fully air-conditioned. What is happening at this hotel? No explanations.

I bring my family and book two rooms, base on recommendation from tripAdvisor reviewers. Huge and fancy lobby, all staff are very friendly and speak English . The room design like apartments, very cozy, cupboard and shower room was far from bad so we really enjoy the atmosphere. Didn't feel like stay in a hotel, very homey Very comfort bed and pillows, room temperature also fix us and WiFI connection is super fast. there are working table and comfortable sofa chair for relaxing. Shower room is huge and bathtub are separated from shower room, amenities are complete, water shower running well and towel all very clean. Huge cupboard for our belonging. I really like the design of Sofitel rooms. We didn't take breakfast, so I cant tell about the other area. Water bottle can be request for free. Located next to Wanda shopping mall and hypermarket, we are very happy to shopping there, everything is there, shop till you drop, from branded to nigh market quality, all there. No need to go so far and fight with the cold anymore A bit far from the city, but taxies is very easy to get and priceless, strongly recommended

Good location but needs improvement on food and service area

Checked in personnel did not explain all the benefits of our rate and room ( club floor ) Club food choices quite limited . Need to improve the quality of the coffee , but the two lounge personnel (dec 28-Dec 31) one tall guy with glasses forgot his na be , provided excellent service , warm very friendly and courteous . Breakfast buffet at the second floor always run out of food and not replenished . Worst is dec 31 dinner buffet at second floor ... Went there 7pm all seafood gone . Most dishes gone . Didn't refill ..for the price of rmb 288 we ate nothing special , ran out of seafood , no carving .. Just ordinary food ... Very disappointed . Very very poor concierge service , saw us arriving with luggages didn't lift a finger to help ! Location is good ! Next to a mall !
