Before check-in, I sent an email hoping to upgrade the suite. After arriving at the store, a lady at the front desk lied that she could not be upgraded. The reason was that there was no room in the peak season, but it was shown on the Internet that there was a room for sale. After being dismantled, she was a little angry. She yelled at the male front desk who checked me in for me and looked at the replyer of my email and asked him to find the person to "come and say it herself". In the meantime, she answered the phone. She still had no polite words. Her voice was very loud. She looked like she was still a leader, but her quality was worrying. The male front desk was very polite throughout the whole process. After coming back, he successfully processed the upgrade for me.

The hotel is near shopping mall, just walk 2 minutes arrive , you can eat and drink in shopping mall, hotel room is bigger, bed is comfortable, and the staff of hotel work professional. swimming pool is good, the breakfast is not too many choice,

Receptions are very kind, and help me as much as her can. Location is a little bit dumb, you have to walk a whole circle around Wanda Plaza from metro station and then reach to the lobby. If there is a short cut just cross Wanda Plaza, that's would be perfect, only 5min from metro station.

Being in a foreign country can be stressful, but the staff of the Sofitel was absolutely amazing. From the moment I arrived to the day I left, the staff was very helpful, understanding, and warm. Each day, the breakfast buffet was a very high-end buffet with so many choices, both Western and Asian selections. In the evening, there was a happy hour that provided a very nice selection of foods and alcoholic selections that were included. The hotel amenities (pool, spa, workout facility where state of the art. And the rooms were absolutely amazing. Our room was a club suite room which had over 900 sq.ft. there were 1.5 bathrooms, living room, and separate bedroom. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, with many attractions and foid choices with immediate walking distances. Overall... it was an amazing experience. If ever in Harbin I highly recommend this hotel.

overall happy with stays, and however some disappoints. 1) had room upgraded to a suite, but the room was dark with windows facing a high-rise building nearby. After talking to a hotel manager, he moved us to a suite facing a public park with better view; 2) on our last stay, found a looked-like man's underwear and a pair of socks left behind sofa (from previous guest?), disgusting to say the least; 3) upon check-in, hotel offered two drink vouchers. However, when we tried to redeem the vouchers for coffee in the lobby bar, we were told cannot, only can exchange them for some water or soft drinks because of some internal accounting issue.
