Hotel fine, "human resources" (i.e. people) just BRILLIANY

The hotel was just fine - great location, silent in the rooms despite the nearby M4, comfy bed. Absolutely fine. What made my stay GREAT was the aftercare - I left an earbud headphone in the room, and not only did housekeeping find and hand it in to reception, but the lovely staff on the desk posted it back to me. Above and beyond the call of duty, I'd say. Fantastic.

It was unusual....I normally stay at Ibis Cardiff Gate. But it was full. The rooms are basic with a shower literally in the room ( we found this hilarious) . The bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. It was dog friendly and the reception staff were extremely pleasant. People have said they felt insecure ... but when I took my dog out in the night, security were patrolling the corridors. I felt very safe. The car park is small but there is an overspill area. Yes... its next to the motorway, but you know that when you are booking it. I would definitely use this hotel again

Good Budget choice

This is a budget hotel which does what it says on the tin. We have stayed here many times. Yes some of the comments about size and no carpets and shower cubicles are correct but you get what you pay for. Ive never found the area to have a problem and the staff without exception have always been excellent over many years . We have had a couple of small issues which were immediately rectified.. If you return late at night the carpark can be full but there is an overflow. There are food options very close (restaurant and takeaways). As soon as I know event dates for next years speedway I will be booking again.

Yes rooms a lil basic but it’s got “budget” in the title. The hotel didn’t choose for people to stay during busy season so these moaners need to chill. Very happy with service lovely hoteliers especially on the eve of 9th and afternoon of the 10th.

2 night stay for Billy Joel concert

This is a budget hotel but was ok for our needs. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was good and the bed comfortable. The shower/toilet set up was a bit unusual but all functioned ok. In hindsight we would have probably preferred to stay closer to Cardiff and pay more as it took a long time to get back after the concert
