Great value and a comfortable stay

Due to other reviews, I called the hotel to check that I could have a fan on request. Thankfully, when I arrived the cooling units had been installed, so my newly refurb'd 3rd floor room was perfect. Because there's a lot of commercial development nearby, construction work next door wasn't a problem with the window closed at night, because the aircon was super efficient. Very comfortable bed, spotless bathroom with a good shower and quality toiletries, fluffy towels and a good breakfast range. One evening I had some soup in the hotel for my supper which was delicious. A good location near the water taxi terminal. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and I'd stay here again if I pay another visit to Bristol.

Still has building work going on

Building work started at 7am which was obviously out of control of the hotel, however aircon didn’t seem to work so we had to have window open. Room really dated and basic. Positives are the staff are nice, it was quite cheap and very close to railway station. Personally wouldn’t stay again

Rooms are like a hot box

The air conditioning in the rooms do not work at all. Was a very hot room. We were on the second floor and not sure if the above floors have been renovated but our rooms were very tiered looking. There was dust in the corners and you can tell the shower had been leaking as there was signs of this along the floor. I wouldn’t go back. The staff were friendly and helpful and that’s the only reason I gave some points but not the rooms themselves.

Bath towels were brilliant!

Five minute easy walk from the Bristol train station. Very interior seemed very new with modern decor. Reasonable size room with comfortable bed and fluffy pillows. bathroom very spacious, modern and very clean, large thick bath towels! Close to restaurants. Staff friendly. Enjoyed our stay. Only negative was the screeching train tracks, but would revisit again when in Bristol.

Renovated Room

I enjoyed the spacious and well equipped renovation room. It was a welcome surprise. The triple room gave space to relax and had good amenities. The staff were helpful and pleasant and I enjoyed the breakfast which catered for a variety of dietary needs.
