Poor customer service, no hot water, won't respond to complaints.

No hot water for shower. Had to leave for a lengthy journey, early morning, without any shower etc. Not a single manager in building (they claimed), to help with my complaint at the time. They refused to discuss any refund or compensation. I was just given an email address to complain to. No reply from that address. Sent a chaser email a week later. Still no reply. Am now going to initate chargeback through my bank card as Novotel Bristol will not respond to me. Avoid.

Had a good stay as usual with novotel. Checked in online. Quickly paid and got our rooms. Parking validated. Accesible room arranged as asked and nice our rooms were on the same floor. Hotel is a bit tired but still modern and clean. Shower temp changed at times and couldnt turn off fan in room on thermostat. Bed comfy. Lacked a sofa, only a plastic and furnished chair. Breakfast had good overall range of cooked and cold. Its local to walk to town but outside enough to be quiet. Good bar too with local moor beer. Staff helpful enough. We will be back

First timed I stayed here (friend that I went to the Wales/All Blacks at Cardiff, has stayed a few times). Comfortable sleep, Rituals products, as well toothbrush, etc, refreshments in room. Nice bar area

Overall, this was a great hotel. The rooms were generous, clean and modern, and did the job required. The service was very friendly, from the front desk staff to the bar staff, who gave me some soy milk for my room so I could make coffee in the morning. As for location, it's well positioned between Temple Meads train station and the city centre - around five minutes walk from each (perhaps ten, if you walk slowly). Parking was quite straightforward, and £16 for 24 hours. Just be sure to validate your ticket before you leave. I'd actually rate this 4.5/5.0. Knocking a few points off because the TV was not on the wall in front of the bed - it was in a weird location towards the end wall! Otherwise, great. I would stay again next time I visit Bristol.

Visited for a overnight stay. The foyer definitely had a 4 star feel but that's where it stopped. Upon entering the room i noticed a definite decline in standards. A partially used toliet roll still on the holder, a badly made bed with a mattress protector that didn't fit and untucked sheets.and even with the AC off a constant hum was heard all night, also my friends room wasn't available until 3 even though the check in was 2.These little details leave a bad 1st impression. Staff wise ...middle aged (Polish?) lady on the restaurant bar was a credit to the hotel and the food and drink were ok. Receptionist was fine although the chap behind the bar at night appeared quite offish.
