In urgent need of a renovation - I’d imagine it’s not been touched in about 30 years. All areas from reception, kitchen area, corridors and rooms are beyond tired. Whilst on the face of it the place is clean, there are carpet stains everywhere, worn floors, paint scuffs and scratches. It’s just quite a depressing place to be if I’m being honest. I had an Executive Room, with the only discernible advantage being a Nespresso machine in the room? The bathroom is a strange art deco vibe with an impractical curved sink and those awful shower trays that bow under your weight (I’m not that heavy!). A dreary colour scheme caps off the display. The breakfast is bland and uninspiring, combined with the inconvenience of covered hot food not being labelled. Only real plus is being well-located for Bristol Temple Meads station and the business district located nearby.

Scam - I booked through the main website which goes to a Bookonline.com page. I was overcharged by £100 this is a total scam. And as far as I am concerned theft. I am trying to get my money back but so far I have been fobbed off... DO NOT TRUST I read other reviews after the event and it is hapening to others ..... AVOID AT ALL COSTS - I will be takingthis further and will update once I have an outcome.

The room was okay, it did look a little standard for an executive room. It was warm though and when I asked if the aircon was on I was told it was, but looked to barely do anything. I arrived between 3-4am after a flight, and was a little disappointed to have been charged a full rate for what was left of the night. Yes, the room was upgraded apparently to an executive room, but when entering the room it looked the same as the standard room I’d stayed in the previous year; which was the same scenario but I had got a discount that time. Not quite what I expected.

Perfect location for our recent visit. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Really happy with the service we received from the reception staff too. The only downside was that the parking was pricey - given the price of the room we wouldn’t expect to have to pay so much for parking too.

Stayed here last night and saw Miriam Margolyes at the theatre, room was spotless and comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive. Parking spaces are tight but an asses bonus for a city centre location. Great hotel for an over night stay.
