Convenient Location

Stayed for one night with family, very conveniently located for the Bristol Beacon and central Bristol shopping centres. It’s surrounded by lots of bars and restaurants which did make it a little noisy at night but I would expect that in any city centre hotel. The hotel is basic and the rooms are quite small but they were modern and clean although the beds in the twin room were narrow and not great for our sons who are both 6’ 2” more suited to children. The bathrooms are pods similar to caravan bathrooms but was a good size and no complaints with the large shower cubicle. There was a good selection of continental and hot buffet for breakfast. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful. The only thing that was disappointing was the parking, on the website it guides you to a discounted car park which should have cost £10/day unfortunately when we arrived at the hotel we were told that this was no longer available and had to pay the full price of £20/day. All that said it was really close to the hotel.

Good budget option if you want to stay centrally

This hotel was a great option for what we wanted. Somewhere central that we weren’t spending a lot of time in and that would be functional and sufficiently comfortable if we did. I stayed in a twin room with a friend. The bed was very comfortable and my friend said the same about hers. Overall the hotel was quiet at night. A couple of times we heard people coming back to their room late but not often and nothing different to other hotels. The bathroom was small, the shower was a good size though and it was clean. We didn’t eat breakfast there, we ate at a place at Harbour Quay on the first day and grabbed something from Tesco the second day. It’s an easy walk to college green and the cathedral area. There are also restaurants near the hotel. We ate at Las Iguanas one night. If you like staying near the harbour it’s a good option. For the price we paid I think it was good value.

Room was clean and functional. It has everything you need for a night or two but it feels very basic. The bathroom is like a cubicle, almost an afterthought. It’s fine for a cheap option though.

• Good central location with many restaurants and bars in surrounding area. • Clean throughout • Breakfast offered a good selection • Room had good sized bed and bathroom • Tesco Express just a couple of mins away • Room was quiet • View from room was very limited • Unfortunately i have had to rate this as average due to the fact that the tv in my room was not working. Despite reporting this after check-in, the matter was not resolved. It is not that i expected them to fix it instantly but i received absolutely no communication or follow-up despite advising one of the managers. I am an Accor Gold Member and find this disappointing.

Great location with friendly staff! The location is close to restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. it has a bar with seating are outside with umbrellas.
