This hotel had one of the darkest rooms I've even been in. Couldn't see anything in the evening when we checked in. Everything was grey from floors, furniture to the walls. Must've had 10 watt bulbs in the 2 lamps in the room. The bathroom opens into the bedroom area with glass panel doors and the shower has no enclosure so the first shower the water went everywhere. I think it was clean can't tell since it was so dark!! I hated the design of the room it was so uncomfortable. The floor is polished cement and no rugs so it felt sticky when you walked on it. No curtains just panels that closed. It seems like an old hotel, design is modular when it was popular in the 80's. The reception area had no warmth just one large circular desk, again the decor seems outdated. Didn't try the restaurant even though we had $100 credit. Housekeeping is very nice and our room was cleaned and stocked everyday. However things just broke. The knob came off the door to the toilet, the drain stopper did not work in the bathtub, the hand held shower pipe was coming off the wall, door panels to the bathroom kept separating, the nespresso machine didn't work and one of the lights was out. However the view was amazing, I booked the cathedral view with a king bed, the location was great just across the bridge from center of the town. I also booked airport transportation and checked 3 times to make sure the reservation was there but it was never written down. We were leaving at 4 am and wanted to make sure that we had a ride but there seem to be no communication between the desk people. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay there again, it's not for me.

Our first room was on the 16th floor with a great view over Vienna. Unfortunately, the AC wasn’t working and the room was incredibly hot. We spoke to reception who advised us the AC could be reset from downstairs. Nothing changed and the first night we slept with the window wide open to try and cool the room down. We also used the shower and it immediately flooded the entire room. The bedside light seemed to have a dodgy connection so it flickered the whole time. The team the following morning were much more helpful and moved us to a new room which was mostly fine. I tried the hammam but the hot tub was like warm and the steam room wasn’t working. The restaurant and bar have great views.

The hotel is in a good location with excellent views of the church and staffed by very good people.
