My wife and I feel we were treated like royals from the get-go. Not only were our pre-stay communications promptly responded to and taken care of, but we were happily surprised that a driver had been waiting to pick us up when we got to the Giant Ibis bus office after traveling on a sleeper bus from Siem Reap. From the moment we reached the hotel, we were continuously treated with upmost courtesy and respect. Each staff member, be it the door guard, the bell boy, the receptionist, the manager on duty, the waitress, the bar tender, the cook, the buggy driver, the concierge (Mr Kosal), the housekeeper, the driver who took us to the airport after we checked out (Mr Khim), and everyone else we encountered during our two-day stay (sorry I can’t remember most names), exuded genuine professionalism. There was never a lapse of smiles and polite but friendly greetings on the part of the staff. As we left or returned to the hotel, doors were held open for us. Our upgraded room on the 11th floor was spacious and well-anointed. We had a balcony overlooking the beautiful Phnom Penh skyline as well as the blue pool down on the ground floor. Our bed was the most comfortable, and every detail (such as the minibar in the fridge) was taken care of to ensure we would have the best lodging experience. The breakfasts were top-notched, both in terms of the dinning-room ambiance and variety of the food served. This assessment applies to both the main dining room and the Chinese restaurant out front - Fu Lu Zu, as we did try each one during our two-day stay. The location is great for us as well. We took advantage of the free buggy rides arranged by Mr. Kosal and went over to Aeon Mall next door to have international dinners there.
