Novotel Edinburgh Park

I was not surprised to see there have been other complaints about this restaurant manager. As I am with family and my wife on my first holiday with them the trip has been lovely up until this poor behaviour from the breakfast restaurant manager. I was getting coffee after having finished my breakfast and she stopped me, insisted on making her point that she had to check me in. I explained I had finished breakfast and there was no one to do this when I arrived. She insisted I should have spoken to the reception (when there was no instructions anywhere to do this). I am a doctor and deal with difficult people and their needs all the time. She was rude and overly authoritative in her manner, her tone and lack of empathy. I don't think she is qualified for her role. I sincerely hope she is taught to improve her attitude to customers as it leaves a bad taste and impression. The staff are otherwise professional and the hotel is nice. Thanks.

Good hotel but several things to improve: not even one small bottle of water in the room, restaurant not in service for diner (and limited option around), no coffee machine (Nespresso), only 2 plugs to charge your phone(s), laptop, watch… in 2022. Really? Quite ridiculous. Meanwhile staff is patient and remains attentive to customer needs. Location is close to tramway to city centre.

Room was very clean and well layer out, breakfast excellent, staff were helpfull , me my partner and 2 kids had a great stay with kids enjoying the swimming pool tram and train line right on door step as well was a bonus . Would recomed this hotel 100% will be back .

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel as a family. The room was laid out for us coming the sofa bed . The room was spotless clean. The hotel was perfect for us the the tram right outside the door 5 minute walk took us straight to the city centre which was fantastic. The breakfast was lovely and even better that two paying adults and kids eat free. It set us up for the day of sightseeing . The pool and sauna facilities were amazing at the end of a busy day walking to come back and chill . Can’t wait to come back

I stayed overnight at the hotel with my friend and our young daughters. The hotel staff were amazing from the moment we walked through the doors. We stayed in one of the suites which was absolutely stunning, the space was so well laid out and included a balcony which in the summer weather was beautiful to walk up and down in, to enjoy our morning coffee and evening drinks. The facilities at the hotel were second to none, the swimming pool and health suite was fun for all to enjoy and the gym which I used over the two days had everything I needed and more. Wifi connection was great and the kids and I got connection everywhere in the hotel. The children enjoyed their own personal games and sitting area, great set up for young and teenage kids. The breakfast was very fun, it had a huge range of options and as I am vegetarian, the staff catered to my dietary needs and made additional breakfast items at request. I would highly recommend this stay for both business and leisure and a great place to unwind, relax and only a train/tram journey away from the Centre of Edinburgh. Manira
