My overall experience for my stay at Novotel Balikpapan was not as good as my previous trip. Herewith the following reason: 1. The breakfast food didn’t taste very good, the dishes weren’t complete, and some of it seemed stale. For example, the fried rice was watery and tasted stale, the yellow rice set wasn’t complete, and the coconut rice wasn’t complete either. The egg station wasn’t always available when needed. In short, the restaurant’s breakfast service definitely needs improvement. 2. Citing “environmental friendliness” as the reason, bathroom amenities were not provided from the very first day, and the selection was limited. In my opinion, this is inappropriate. 3. The Hallway is dimly lit and feels creepy. 4. There are a lot of mosquitoes when spending time in the semi-outdoor area next to the restaurant.
