There were so many issues with the room: heater did not work, TV did not work, fridge did not work, light next to the bed did not work, the laneway next to my room made so much noise all night that I felt like I got no sleep. That even for a three star hotel, it was way below par I went and booked into another hotel for my second night and the person at reception offered to refund me for the second night

Well located but very basic!

Hotel was well situated for our stay in Melbourne. Close to all attractions. Unfortunately although this is a budget hotel we didn't expect what we got. Upon arrival reception looked clean and tidy but upon going to our rooms and seeing our rooms was nothing like tour website showed. Modern, refurbished was what you said and what we got was not that! Lights that had no bulb, other lights not working, poor excuse for shower, bits hanging off walls, hallways looked like they xoukd do with a paint. Then breakfast, one toaster to do all guests and only one side of it was working. Took forever to serve everyone. Half the time juice and condiments were not re filled for other guests coming down so sometimes when arriving for breakfast hardly anything. We stayed in an Ibis previously and paid nearly as much for that one and it was like night and day! No hairdryer in rooms, had to ask for one at reception and was told to hand it back after I used for other guests to use. Surely a hotel would have hairdryers for each room! I had two rooms booked and my daughter said she didn't get a good night's sleep due to noise every night. Sounded like wind whistling all night, also had very loud music at silly times of morning and other noisy guests! Overall not a good stay, but just looked at it as a place to sleep as didn't want to spoil our trip.

Location in the CBD great. Floor boards very noisy when you are trying not to wake my husband when using the bathroom while he was sleeping

well located, however very old and did not feel clean

The room provided felt unclean as it had a shower in the room, old style aircon in the room and noisy. The room was dark and dingy, very depessing, other rooms were the same after asking for an up grade. We could not stay there and checked out and went and stayedelswhere.

I’ll start with good things. The hotel is located in city centre, and the hotel staff were really wonderful. HOWEVER, the hotel rooms are very very small and dingy. There was a particular smell/ odour in our rooms and on the ground floor everytime we walked in. The breakfast was also reallyyy sad. It cost me $12pp and there were only breads, cornflakes, and a coffee machines. Had I known this earlier, I wouldn’t have paid for breakfast. I did get a refund for the next 2 days’ breakfast. So that’s fine. Rooms had no water bottles (hotels come with at least 1 mineral water per person). And the toilets made me feel like I was in prison. But compared to other Ibis around Australia and Singapore, this was the worst one. Nonetheless, we had a roof over our heads to sleep in, and private toilets to use, so I’m grateful.
