Overall very good. Room and Service excellent. Lack of a Restaurant menu and comfortable Bar facilities and range of beer and spirits was disappointing in a 4 star establishment which led to the overall score of 9.

Arrived 1445 for 15hr checkin of junior suite .room still not ready at 16hr.offered lower grade room for same tarif. Unfriendly staff,rude and unhelpful.

Dear Mrs and Mr h., As you said, you arrived for the check in at quarter to 3 PM. The junior suite you booked should have been ready at 3 PM, following the ACCOR’s standard. Unfortunately, we are in the top of the summer season. Our hotel guest leave their room very late. With a full hotel the night before, we can’t have our rooms ready again at 3 PM. We had our last and highest class junior suite, just ready and available. We invited you to see it. Unfortunately if this one is very bright, it does not have a balcony, and for this only reason, you refused it. Therefore, we invited you to wait, with a glass of wine offered until 4 PM. It was the time we needed to clean up and deliver the junior suite you wanted with a balcony. At 4 PM exactly, we have let you know that the room was ready and we needed three more minutes to check it with our housekeeper. Then you made a scene because we asked to wait to 3 minutes and left the hotel, mad with rage. We tried to give you satisfaction in the best delivery time as we could, unsuccessfully in front of your impatience. Furthermore, Mr h., the rudeness is not our education and not to be find on our side. Our only will is to give satisfaction to our guests, of all our guests. Rarely, we can’t achieve this goal. Ideal location for visiting the city and surrounding areas. Good value for money except for the breakfast where a cheaper option should be offered. We had dinner at the restaurant and the service was excellent.

Good for Family. Nice staff, - able to help with sigthseeing bookings etc-..Rooms nice, - good with a fridge for own use in each room. No noise from street ( we had rooms to the parking lot) . Perigueux is worth visiting, - not overcrowded with tourists, and with a lot of interestings to see and do.

I understand that any company must manage its costs but to offer a welcome drink while you book for two, I find it a little petty, if it s a very high cost for the hotel to offer a welcome drink , I prefer to received nothing otherwise hotel well located and clean

Confusing Parking

On the positive side, the hotel is centrally located in this charming town. Room was perfectly satisfactory and clean. Breakfast is OK, but certainly nothing special.We were traveling through France with a fully loaded car and chose this hotel because we believed it had private parking. However, we were surprised to learn on check-in that this has now changed (apparently for security reasons) and that parking is in a public car park opposite the hotel. Had we known this we would not have booked.
