We had a very friendly welcome at reception. The location is perfect, by the river and just below the cathedral. An easy walk into all parts of central Perigeux. Also we enjoyed the parking right outside.

Location is perfect for a short stay exploring Perigueux - very close to shops, markets, restaurants etc. Unfortunately the beds and pillows had some sort of plasticky mattress cover which made for a sticky night's sleep, despite the efficient A/C. The beds are always comfy in the many Ibis hotels we've stayed in, but these covers meant we struggled to get a good night's sleep. The bathroom was quite tired and bedroom flooring significantly water damaged. All communal areas were very well presented though. I feel that the rooms are due a refurb. We'd be reluctant to stay here again (despite so many of the positives) because of the mattress covers used.

Very uncomfortable bed, room needs to be cleaned and updated. There were spiders everywhere in the room, and the windows were so thin we could hear people speaking on the other side of the room, eve though we were in the top floor. Parking door damaged my car. Breakfast was good. For this level of quality, the stay should be much cheaper.

We use to stay in this hotel very often as it is half way when we go and back from Suisse to our place of holidays in Spain. Experience was always very good, with good and gentle service. This time the experience was surprisingly upsetting with 3 regrettable incidents what is very unfortunate. 1.- At the evening, 23h (futbol France-Paraguay), bar was closed and I asked at reception if me and my wife could have the All Accor welcome drinks. We just wanted 2 beers to drink during the match. The person said that exceptionally he was going to give us a drink. When I shared the drinks coupon at the All Accor app, he said that that it was not acceptable as we should have a paper ticket given at our arrival. I explained how it work and he accepted, but when I asked for 2 beers he said that alcohol was not accepted and covered by the welcome drink ........ after a not nice discussion he gave me 1 beer and the second voucher was not used as I did not wanted to continue under that tense situation. The behavior was arrogant and unacceptable. 2- At arrival, we left at the Bar a bag with some ice pads for our car cooler as we use to do every time. When leaving, a gentle lady gave us the bag back but unfortunately, the day before it was placed in the refrigerator and not in the freezer so the pads were not frozen. The breakfast ladies giving us the bag back were very nice and presented their excuses. 3.- When checking out, I asked to pay the bill with my All Accor points. The request was not possible and I had to pay with my credit card. The person of the reception desk said that the software had been renewed and so was not possible that day. This is not severe, but after the rest of events in this stay, made our experience negatively surprising.

The location of the hotel overlooking the river is beautiful. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The restaurant has a great menu, something for everybody at reasonable costs. We should definitely return when next in the region.

Great place to stay in Périgueux. Just a few steps from the cathedral and the old town centre. Parking space along the river (take attention for festivities which will close this parking area). Staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are fine with air-conditioning and breakfast is plenty.
