I paid extra for a pool view room to open my drapes and see an ugly cement shell with green algae puddles. The pool had been drained. I also was looking forward for using the pool as I am an avid swimmer. Your website promotes the pool as one of its attractions. During the 5 days total at the hotel NO work was being done to fix it. The bathtub drain fixture was inoperable. Likewise there was only lukewarm water at very low pressure in the tub (while for some reason there was hotter water in the shower stall.) I have stayed at this hotel 6 times in the last 7 or 8 years. I hate to see it decline. It seems all the money is not going to rooms maintaining but to the new bistro and bar that throbs with over-amplified techno-music and is covered wall-to-wall with pop art in dubious (Sadly the 'art' defaces the lobby as well) Note: food is pedestrian at best. Morocco has a vibrant, rich culture but sadly no respect is given to it by Novotel. They are desperately trying to present a hip, millennial vibe but as one who comes to Morocco to see Morocco I certainly did not witness anything Moroccan in the property. The decor is loud, soulless and disrespects a beautiful land and people by lack of a recognizing Moroccan culture and heritage On the positive side, I really like the staff and manager and consider them friends, and hesitated to critique the hotel. But as a traveler who depends on other travelers for information I felt that it was more important to provide an honest, candid critique of property.

I have the habit to stay in this hotel because of it’s location, but I always had issues with the rooms: no water in the fridge, no cleaning, broken shower, dirty floor, dirty bath room... towels are old and dark white. Same towel is divided between toilet and shower... ufff

first , the person @ the reception was rude, and luck seriously of customer experience , the way he was talking to us was very disapointing with no symapthie and he looks very out of control of the tasks asssigned to him. ( his surname is Mehdi ) second, the swiming pool was not functionnal neither the terasse , so bad surprise and was not mentionned during the booking ( even they suggested to go to Sofitel but this is embarassing and not in our plan ) the room was not bad, but you can do better vs other Novotel in other countries I visited the breakfast was good

Service was terrible and NOT to the level of a Novotel ! I did the prior Online chek-in informing of our early arrival timing 10h30am, they finally gave us the rooms passed 3pm ! Unacceptable ! Everything looks old, damage, dirty and in bad condition; whether you are at the Pool, the restaurant or the rooms ! House Keeping worse, they kept forgetting to bring the water bottle (we are lucky when they dont) and if by mistake you left it in the room they would still it to force you to buy it at the restaurant ! Scandalous ! They never cleaned the rooms before 3pm ! The Night shift reception, unfriendly, rude and incompetent ! Honestly beside the great location this property should either go through a major renovation ENTIRELY or been taken out of the ACCOR Chain; with which I will have a strong debriefing.

we decided to reserve in Novotel first of because we knew the chain and we know what we will find.(w e had stay in others Novotel in Europe and Egypt) so more or less we had an idea .But this was completely disappointed. We stayed in room 116 , just coming out of the elevator we felt the smell of humidity, tabac and uncleaned air. Then the carpet full of stains , looks like it mus have to be change. The room normal still the same carpet and smell and it was not the clean it should be......By the way our friends stayed in room 506 it was a bit better but the clening the same... In any HOTEL YOU LOOK FOR: CLEANING, GOOD REST (MATRESS) AND NO SMELL .

Reception were very welcoming and efficient, as were all the staff. The room was clean, a good size with a large bathroom. Excellent view from the balcony to the pool and gardens. Aircon and refrigerator were both in need of service. Restaurant tapas was very good as was the local wine.

I stay the first night at room 318 and I left the room for few hours and put on my door the design do not disturb . When I come back someone was entering my room and took my optic sun glasses worth 600 euro . In the floors of this Hotel is no cameras to see who enter the rooms The stuff in the reception was very nice and told me because there is no camera in the floor everyone can enter from outside the room And do what he want of course is not helping me to get my glasses and my all stay there in Hotel was destroy because of that . I only can say just been friends in the hotel but have no Securty in the Hotel for me is very bad .

Overall the hotel had a pleasant atmosphere, is in a good location and served great food in the Bazzart Restaurant, particularly the Ramadan breakfast buffet in the evening. Staff were generally polite and friendly. The points that let it down was: - Housekeeping often had to be prompted for supplying things like coffee, cups and enough towels etc. - Collusion between some of the hotel staff and the local taxi drivers to over inflate prices when hailing a cab for hotel guests and pocketing some of the fare for themselves. Maybe this is just Moroccan culture of bartering? - The Ramadan evening buffet meal was included as part of our package as a party of 6 adults and 3 children, yet upon checking the bill I found we were overcharged for this.

Overall the hotel and facilities are below European standard and in desperate need of an overall revamp. During our stay, we had a few issues with the room as locks, TV and the water pressure in the bathroom seemed to be low but these did not bother us so much as we were always out. The pool was pleasant enough for the children to play and relax. The only thing we enjoyed during our stay is the Ramadan buffet/dinner which offers many variety of foods but on the downside, I've never seen so many food waste in my life. People are so greedy by taking so much food that they could never consume. Lastly, what I hated the most was when checking out of the hotel en-route to the airport, the hotel staff specifically the young man with the glasses behind the reception desk did his best to mislead us one last time by flagging a taxi outside the hotel and making further corrupt dealings with the driver by trying to charge us an extortionate fare to the airport. Luckily we walked away and got a better taxi fare elsewhere.

Hotel was great it is what i expect from Novotel. One recommendation though in all other Novotels that i have stayed there are always at least 2 bottles of water and coffee for two each day. This location gave one bottle and one coffee for two people in the room. Especially considering where you are you might want to rethink that. I know yes one can go down and purchase additional water, but come on - Really!

It was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It was far from Novotel standard. This place should be shut down completely. Frankly speaking, this hotel ruined my entire trip to Marrakesh. Not only the building is old, furniture disgusting and walls dirty but there are coackroaches running around the room. Every morning there were insects on the shower cabin. Doubt this place would pass any healthy checks.

Stayed for two nights in April 2019. Check in straightforward. Room a good size with balcony overlooking pool. Toilet is separate to bathroom which is fairly standard in Morocco however toilet is so small when sitting down your knees are almost touching the door. Not for anyone who is claustrophobic. Had dinner on one night. It was fine despite getting the order mixed up. Breakfast is good. Staff are all very welcoming and pleasant. This hotel is ideal for a short stay and is within walking distance of Jemma El Fna. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Will return at some point.

Staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, but overall wasn't a great Novotel experience. The check in process was very difficult, with only one room being issued at first when we'd reserved two, and then being charged in multiple transactions on credit cards when we'd already paid online and had to have the additional charges reversed later. Food and drink service takes a very long time, though when it comes the food was nice. Recommend going early for breakfast through, as the food is not kept hot and if you go towards the end of the scheduled breakfast time dishes which are meant to be hot are cold. Location is good, beds are comfortable. AC was present but not effective, and even in early May when I was there it was too warm in my room.
