Hard bed, pillows disintegrated and filling falling apart, woke up with a back pain and stir neck. Room called privilege was tiny, with an unpleasant smell in the comfortable, thin towels only 3 and resembling dishcloths. Beds were not made up properly bad first impression which didn’t remove. Breakfast ok but nothing great. Despite having Silver status we were not offered an upgrade or complimentary drink. The fridge mini bar was meant to be free but there was hardly anything in it - one water, one beer and chocolate. Mercure used to be a good 3-4 star standard, this was budget level with high prices.

Check in was smooth and the staff member was very welcoming. Breakfasts were excellent varied and of good quality. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Just one point maybe the TV could offer more English channels or have the ability to provide access to APPs such as Netflix.

Breakfast variety was great, above standard for sure! Central location with convenient paid parking. You can literally walk to all main hotspots of Graz from the hotel. Definitely recommending this hotel for those exploring Graz with peace of mind. Shower was also good with good flow and stable water temperature. Rooms are average, but for those using the hotel only for sleeping should not be bothered about it.

The hotel seems to be showing its age and appears to have been furnished rather haphazardly (chipped walls, faulty sockets, stained upholstered furniture, crooked lampshades, a loose shower screen, etc.). The lobby and hotel bar felt deserted, with little atmosphere. Overall, not exactly what I’d expect from a Mercure Standard.

The location is great, but the hotel feels extremely outdated, the connecting rooms were big but old, the pillows were the standard of a room-for-rent not 4 stars hotel. The lighting was terrible. The bed uncomfortable. The whole building screems of a need for renovation. Really disappointing. Also, a complimentary bottle of water is the least one should expect.

Stayed here for three nights over the Austrian Grand Prix weekend and unfortunately it was a frustrating experience from start to finish. The air conditioning in our room did not work for the entire stay. In the middle of summer, on one of the busiest and most expensive weekends of the year, the room was uncomfortable to the point of being unusable especially at night. We were travelling with our four-year-old, which made it far worse. Three nights in a hot, poorly ventilated room meant our child barely slept and became increasingly unsettled and uncomfortable. As a parent, it’s genuinely distressing not being able to give your kid a comfortable place to rest when you’ve paid for exactly that. What really let the stay down was the staff response. We raised the issue and nothing was done, no repair, no replacement unit, no offer to move rooms. We were simply left to get on with it. No compensation was offered at any point. The only concession came after I insisted I wouldn’t pay for parking, and even then front office initially said they couldn’t remove the charge before eventually doing so. Waiving a parking fee I was already contesting is not compensation, we’d prepaid for the room in full and the hotel had already taken our money. This falls well short of what you’d expect from an Accor property. For a brand that markets itself on comfort and service, having a basic issue like this go completely unaddressed is deeply disappointing. Would not recommend for this price point, and certainly not for anyone travelling with young children.

The arrival was nice and the female receptionist with tattoos/jewellery was very friendly. However, afterwards we were rather dissatisfied, because our room wasn’t prepared for two persons even though booked accordingly. The housekeeping which after notifying the reception made the second bed ready was very unfriendly and basically interrupted us in the room. Also when we checked-out the next day 10 minutes before the usual check-out time, we were informed to hurry-up because the next guests arrive soon…Overall, these experiences lead to the feeling of not being so welcomed. The breakfast was okay-ish and the rooms were clean and spacious but could need a little bit of an update. The floors before the rooms were very dark and unfriendly.
