Underwhelming experience

I had a pretty disappointing experience this time around. During booking I stated to have my room decorated if possible. It was totally ignored. Upon my stay we had to call reception multiple times to make sure our requests for towels, dental kit etc were received. The wait time for request was too long. We didn’t even have our room serviced even when I met with the caretaker and requested they come clean it and they said they will get to it soon in 5-10 mins. They never arrived. Everything was very late in general, the wait times for towels and dental kit and room service in general was too long. Like I said made multiple calls to receptionist to get it escalated. A request for water bottle took more than 30* mins. A very poor experience. My stay was two days was quite not up to the standard as I would except from a 5 star establishment and I have been a few of them. I personally like this hotel but very poor service. Losing a star from me, sorry.

Stayed for business and enjoyed a work group dinner in the 'Newmarket room' plus breakfast the next morning. Excellent facilities, comfortable and clean room, great food and friendly staff.
