First of all the hotel iscreally ran down, in desperate need of an upgrade . The condensation unit is inside the room.. there was a flickering light on top of my bed the whole night ….. A Complete disaster ACCOR should be ashamed of having it as a 5 star hotel

It was all fine.. i am familiar with the property having stayed many times. I did have one issue though. Due to my mistake i had booked a room with single beds and unfortunately at check in this could not be amended to a double. Understand the hotel was quite full at the time but would have thought my track record at the property something more could have been done. I am sure the staff tried their best.

Good but few issues

On positive: * Interactions with staff were good. * Breakfast was fine. * I was told I was offered a better room as courtesy. (Thanks.) * The room was comfortable, spacious, enjoyed it. * Clean. * Wife loved the soap. On negative: * Toilet wasn't working well. Had to fix it myself, the water bank had a 2 liters Coca-Cola in it, by removing it started working properly. (But not before that!) * Shower box light wasn't working. * When I first arrived the shower wasn't working properly, the water didn't have pressure, I had a crap experience showering first day. But, next day it was fine. No idea what happened. * Had to wait twice at queue for +10 minutes. * Cold/hot sink water was/is labeled wrong. * There was a box with some sort of humming device inside the room making a noise. (I don't know what that is actually is.) [unlikely to be solvable] On summary: The hotel itself is fine. You'll likely be fine there. But it could have been better if issues above were solved.

I appreciated the location of the hotel which is clearly the best thing about the hotel. The breakfast was great. Common areas like the lobby, breakfast room and pool were nice. However once you step in the corridor leading to the room the whole atmosphere changes. The room is blank and without any charm. It literally looks like a hospital bedroom. The AC makes a awful noise. It’s atrocious. I am not a light sleeper and still I did not a get a good night sleep. One more thing, in a country like Brazil were you can not drink the tap water you should at least give a free water bottle in the room. I’ve travel to a lot of countries in Asia, America and Europe and they always provide a free water bottle. The safe in the room didn’t work. And it says in the website there were bathrobes provided with the from but couldn’t find any. Concerning the service we had a lovely lady with glasses who checked us in she was very welcoming and sweet, same for the bellman who picked up our luggage from the taxi to the room. There could be some improvement from the other front desk people who were constantly on the phone and didnt even acknowledge us. I get that they were busy but a simple smile (even with the mask) would have been appreciated. The guy who checked us out didn’t even ask if we enjoyed our stay in Brasilia etc basic polite small talk.. These are just simple things but it could easily be improved.

There is a terrible noise in the room from the air conditioner. I couldn't sleep well the nights I stayed at the hotel. The air conditioning machine is inside the room, closed by a thin door, which cannot limit the noise. Room 105

Easily accessible and good property in Brasilia. I felt comfortable during the trip despite the online pandemic. There are restaurants and shopping mall across the street if you want to get out of the hotel. Sometimes it takes a bit of time for the Uber drivers to find the entry to the hotel, so plan an extra 1-3min for waiting.

Surprisingly Brasilia does not have 5 star hotels, that can live up with the 5 star level as one is used to in the rest of the world. They may comply with the technical requisites, but they do not 'embrace' you equally. But Grand Mercure comes closes. Pleasant service, nice suite, with great views and a superb veranda. The gym is a but simple, but nicely located on the toproof.

Had a couple of days staying and was very impressed with the staff all very helpful . ( a lady at reception was really helpful think her name was Ana ) Facilities were good and had a great swimming pools terrace. Breakfast was also very good. Good location near a shopping Center.

My trip was complete by the attention it was provide by the hotel. Any need was attended by the the hotel employees even when I request to watch NFL game on sunday after my checkout time so they open the bar so I can watch before leave and get to the airport. Very thankfull for that
