Even executive rooms on top floor were quite dark with no view at all.

The location is quite good if you do not want to be in the middle of action, as it is out of the way of main tourist streets and not very close to key attractions(5 to 15 minute uber ride away). The balcony room that we booked was spacious enough for the 12 night stay and the balcony was massive(should be great if you are there during warmer months of the year). A bit of an issue with cleaning, we only had it serviced once during our stay and it was clear the housekeeping did not bother to hoover or mop the floors or check the balcony. That being said, our main issue was the fact that the bar/restaurant doubled as a kindergarten... sometimes up to and after 11 PM. Which would have been alright had we been warned about it in advance (we would have booked someplace else). The staff there did their best to mitigate, but there is only so much to be done about a mob of 5 to 12 year olds running amok.

I have stayed at other Novotel hotels before and they have all been good, but Novotel Praha is the best. The bed was very comfy, and even the sofa bed was fantastic. The staff were so accommodating; throughout our 3-day stay, I found all of them to be excellent. Great location and reasonable rates. Next time we are in Prague, this is definitely the place to stay!

Let me start by saying we stayed at the Novotel in Warsaw in December of 2024 and absolutely loved it (possibly our favorite hotel we’ve stayed at in Europe). Now, on to Prague with expectations of something similar. Wrong. Let’s start with the pros. Pros: location is good, easy access to metro and trams. Cons: Rooms are incredibly hot during winter. We had a 9 year old who cried every night about not being able to sleep due to the heat. We slept wit the window open most nights and would be woken by drunks screaming or the occasional siren. They say the rooms are 19c, but that definitely isn’t true. The are hot and if you can’t deal with sleeping in the heat, it’ll be a rough stay. The restroom smelled of cigarettes most of the time. It was faint but still a bad feeling. Our group had two rooms. In one room, the sheets had hair on the sofa bed as if they weren’t changed. In the other room, the sheet on the sofa bed had a 20 inch cut/tear in it. Also, no water in the rooms, but they leave a pitcher for you to fill at stations in the hallway. The problem is that the pitcher was clearly not washed. We stuck with buying our own bottled water. Needless to say, this Novotel was a far level beneath that of the Warsaw location.
