3 days ago I was at an Accor property in Paris. It was a bit worn and tired. The staff seemed focused on admin and certainly not on guests. So this hotel is the opposite. It is lower mid range, but the building is in good nick and the shower is great. None of which matters compared to the staff, who are welcoming and efficient and actually seem to enjoy their chosen work. Congratulations to them, and to the person in HR who picks them!

Great short break in Amsterdam

Room basic but comfortable and clean. Bathroom very well organised considering the size and the shower was great. Breakfast was plentiful and varied choice offered. The staff were all very friendly. Great location. About 20 mins walk from the station, close to metro.

Ibis Amsterdam Centre Stopera is best place to spend a ton of money and get almost nothing in return

TLDR: check the pictures, dirty and moldy First time in an Ibis hotel. We stayed at the premium suite with a view of the canal, there was hot water and a bed with clean sheets. Staff were friendly and helpful and greeted us most of the time. Nothing got stolen. Unfortunately: The bathroom is intentionally not shown in the pictures because it's a box (plastic style, akin to the ones you see on construction sites). It smelled of sewage and was always wet due to bad ventilation plus the sink area was stained. During our 3-night stay the trash was not taken out and the bath towels were not changed (someone had come in our room though but only to leave us 3 paper cups!). We had to go to the reception to get fresh ones which had yellow stains. I think they use the services of an outside cleaning company and it very much shows. The room was so cold we had to go the reception to get a space heater, didn't make much of a difference.

Very bad experience

We stay total 3 rooms for 4 night, the location overall is good, near centrum. However the amenities and service is very terrible. They dont replace the PLASTIC cup in ur bathroom for 5days! No toothbrush, no kettle for hot water. I went to the bar asking for hot water in the evening and everybody ignore us, they are busy with people who pay at the bar. Maybe they forgot that we pay too 3 total 4 nights for 3 rooms. We love accor hotel, we even stay at ibis schipol, ibis paris, mercure paris and all of them are wonderful, but this ibis centre stopera is the worst. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN TO THIS HOTEL.

Lovely hotel very clean .Bar area very modern with ok choice for drinks.Can buy snacks of an evening to .Big comfy bed and pillows.Everyone friendly. My only downside was the traffic noise outside .Woke me up very early both days.But it didn't spoil my time at hotel.
