Much more budget than the price or pictures suggested. Room size was small but fine. The ensuite was basically a plastic box inside the room, almost like a portaloo and so small that the sink was in the main room. Bathroom had an awful smell, like sewage that we couldn’t get rid of. There was also hair in the shower. The air conditioner was an old window mounted one which worked but was extremely loud. The controls on it didn’t work properly so it was difficult to adjust the settings. Staff asked me twice to pay for parking even though I paid for it when I booked. Staff were kind to agree to a late checkout, but then knocked and woke us up at regular checkout time, and then later tried to enter the room before we had checked out. Should have paid the $30 a night extra to stay somewhere much better.

Request for Compensation Due to Unacceptable Room Conditions – ibis budget Enfield Dear ibis budget Enfield Management, I am writing regarding my recent stay at your hotel on 3–4 December 2025. I stayed in room 203. I chose your property because of the Accor brand, expecting a basic but reliable standard. Unfortunately, the experience was far below what any guest should reasonably expect. During my stay I encountered several issues that significantly affected my rest and comfort: – Check-in was restricted to 9 PM, which required me to reorganize my travel and arrive earlier than planned. – The hotel has no lift, resulting in considerable noise throughout the night as guests moved luggage up and down the stairs. – The general condition of the property appears heavily worn, and the pillows in my room smelled strongly of smoke. – The air conditioner and remote control were not functioning, which was particularly problematic given the warm nights. – The refrigerator was not cooling, leaking water instead. – Overall nighttime noise levels made it extremely difficult to sleep. I fully understand that ibis budget is an economy brand. However, non-functional air conditioning, an unusable fridge, and a room that does not meet basic standards of comfort fall outside what can reasonably be considered “budget.” As a result, I was unable to rest properly during both nights after long working days. In light of these issues, I kindly request compensation for one night of my stay. This seems a fair and proportionate resolution given the circumstances. I also want to mention that after my stay I reviewed public feedback online and was surprised not only by the number of similar complaints, but also by the tone of the responses from hotel management. This does not reflect well on the Accor brand. I would appreciate your prompt response and a proposed solution. Kind regards, Djordje D.

Was nice to have a shower curtain, nice down lights over the bed and a power point by the bed. Much better than the St Peters hotel.

The price was right, and it was reasonably close to where I wanted to be. Clean enough and staff are good. Nothing special for platinum member, apart from the discount. A bit of maintenance to do - mentioned to reception. Another guest had the same issue in a different room.
